I, too, belong to the school of "close enough".

Oh dear, I can't shake the feeling all those comments about the futility of getting colours exactly right were sparked off by my little throw-away comment 'are you sure you got the colours right?' Anybody who remembers my translation of Tobias' great article 'Colour Madness' (posted on the other site we were on for a bit) knows my thoughts on the subject. My comment was just intended as a little ironic dig at Bob's earlier remark explaining his absence: 'The frame of mind I was in I might have started telling people they were using the wrong colors!'

Oh dear, I can't shake the feeling all those comments about the futility of getting colours exactly right were sparked off by my little throw-away comment 'are you sure you got the colours right?' ..... My comment was just intended as a little ironic dig at Bob's earlier remark explaining his absence: .... And that's exactly the way I took it. In fact, I had a bit of a chuckle over it. Keep 'em coming! Truth be told, I'm the one who sparked the discussion (and that's all it was) by making the original comment. Wouter - Thanks friend. It's good to be back. Wing_nut - Appreciate the comment, Marc. Glad you like it.

Sorry for being late... another great build to be proud of. Like I said last time, the camo is just fantastic!

To me it's like all aspects of modelling, go with what is right for yourself......even "colorized" films are never 100% accurate.
Model looks great to me!

afvfan: You made an UGLY tank sing! How could the Italians design the Ferrari AND this beast!? I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I like the PE work...enough to give her some pop but still keep your sanity. Paint layering looks good and the camo is superb! I noticed that you paid close attention to the graphite wear on the inside of the sprockets, guide horns and idler wheel but I don't see any on the cleats or the sprocket teeth popping through the tracks. Give it another look, that sure would be a nice touch! Great build!!!
