Just wanted to share a project which I'm currently working on. It's a Sd.Kfz 250 from the 12SS with a Italian 2cm Breda Flak mounted in it. It's based on the picture below. Some typical field modifications are present on this vehicle, like the foliage tie downs welded on the upper hull, a side boarding step and a bumper bar. This is where I'm at right now. It's the Sd.Kfz 250 Neu kit from Dragon, with some photo etch from Eduard and Aber. The 2cm Breda kit is from Italeri. Just a few more details need to be fixed like the foliage tie downs. The bumper bar, made from evergreen strips. I also added some kind of container on the rear of the vehicle as can be seen on the pics. Also made from Evergreen sheet and strips. The inside of the vehicle is almost finished. The transmission is scratched, as the Dragon kit does not contain parts for this. I wonder why because the kit is fairly complete with lots of other parts! So here's the Italeri gun. A nice little kit, not to complicated and only needs some cleaning up of the parts. I added a few details. A question for me was in what way the gun was fixed in the vehicle as I didn't have any reference photo's. It was obviously a field conversion, so I guess I'd have a bit of artistic freedom in this. I made a simple mount of Evergreen sheets on which the gun can be placed. As you can see, the space in this vehicle is very limited. Maybe I'll remove the seat of the gun... I adjusted the axels of the rear wheels to make a proper sit of the vehicle, like on the photo. Next step is painting the inside and trying to add some figures! :-) Thanks for watching! Rob.

Interesting subject Rob! Front row seat for me. Will you be providing the snacks, or do I have to bring my own? I've long since given up trying to fathom the reasoning behind some of Dragon's decisions, and just work on the assumption that you can't always trust the contents of the box, and never to trust their instructions.

Always love these kinds of odd-ball field-conversion vehicles. Looks like you've got the pair headed in the right direction Rob. The transmission issue with the 250 kits is a really funny one...especially when they had them in their older kits but somehow when they did the 'Premium' treatment, they got overlooked. If you have any spare parts from their 251 kits, those transmissions (which are hidden away under the chassis on the 251) work nicely as stand-ins.
