Some good stuff right there Bill! A simple wash makes all the difference in the world if you ask me!! I like the color of the wash....great for a neutral playing field! I agree Todd! I like this particular wash as it works nicely on both dark and light colors, much better IMHO than their tan for 3-tone wash for example. I'm a mix my own guy as a rule but this particular premix formula has a nice subtlety to it.

Nice to see the weathering commence mate. The wash sure starts to make all those love details pop out. I hear you on the glacis. Anyway, looking forward for next installment

You'e right about the glacis, but really starting to come alive now. Got a nice bottle of Future sitting in at home in England, left it there thinking I could get some here - looked everywhere, but, it appears Germany has no Future...

Isn't it branded differently in Germany? I know it got another name in the Low countries, but can't remember...
Cheers

Got a nice bottle of Future sitting in at home in England, left it there thinking I could get some here - looked everywhere, but, it appears Germany has no Future... Maybe someone can confirm it, but as Wouts mentioned, I, too, believe it's rebranded in Germany. Look for something in the polish section called "Klar" by Johnson's.

Thanks guys! I believe Future now has the name of SC Johnson's Pledge Floor Care. It's gone by many names in the last few years including the monstrous Johnson's Pledge with Future Magic at one time. Not sure if it is still marketed as Klear in Europe but you can always get it on eBay under the current name. My current bottle has lasted over a decade but is getting near the bottom!

Made some progress on the tracks in the weathering department. I heavily dry-brushed some MM enamel Steel over the runs with a round sable brush first, paying particular attention to the contact areas on the wheel side and the individual link faces on the ground side. After that, an overall wash of MM enamel Raw Umber was applied to blend it together with the base coat and tone down the Steel effect a bit. These will get more weathering attention when I enter the pigment phase prior to their final installation but they are one step closer to completion now

C3PO, always have to be mindful of the Dragon instructions...never a dull moment! I still have to decide what I'm going to do with all the leftover parts from this kit...there's almost enough still on the sprues to build another Tiger. Leon, thanks buddy, onward and upward!

Got the dot filters applied to the hull and turret today. On zimmed vehicles the approach has to be a little different due to all the ridges, so instead of working vertically, it's a more horizontal process. I used small dots of MM enamel Flat White, Raw Sienna, and my 50/50 DY/LG mix for the filters. First up was the hull. Then the turret got its turn. Next up will be a pin wash treatment.

Looks very good, each step makes the kittycat pop out. Pinwash sure will do that!
