Many thanks. Yes, a good base is very important for the presentation of a model. Printing and laminating a base badge is very easy and quite cheap too - of course you can go for lasered brass pieces as well, but thats very pricey.
In case of Sgt. Connor, the ground work was in the box, and I just added a few styrodur chips, cork etc. to fit the wooden base.
