Absolutely stunning work. You have turned what could best be described as, ou of the box, a playtoy into a marvelous work of art. G G Thanks for the comment although you are being far TOO kind!! The reason I use Quickbuild kits is that they are simple enough for my son to help with and yet offer me scope to improve my very limited skills. Check this link out, this is what I'm aiming to achieve!! modelerssocialclub.proboards.com/thread/10870/andrew-sean-armourfast-72-cuckooThanks again for stopping by. Andrew

Hi all So it's been quite some time since I posted on here but I've been plodding along and so I've finally managed to get some paint and decals on this little kitty. On the whole I'm pleased with how it's turned out given what the starting point was! I've been a lot busier on the modelling front recently and so more builds will follow. ACW as usual. All the best. Well, I finally got caught up with this and following along has been a blast. You did magnificent, but I was expecting to see Cuckoo. LOL! NO worries. I did one myself but used a pre-zimmed kit from Dragon. I did hand paint the "cuckoo" on the turret: I do love what you did with yours. Way to go!

Cuckoo is coming....this was meant to be a trial run to try some new techniques out. And thank you for the feedback! ATB Andrew

Hi all So a little over 8 that EIGHT years after a I started this, it is finally finished. I was inspired to get it over the finish line when I finished my Jagdpanthers. To finish it off I simply added a clear coat ahead of some light weathering....basically some light chipping and a mixed sepia/umber pin wash to bring out the details, followed by a final matt clear coat. This won't set the modelling world alight but just remember is started life as a £3.75 quick build wargaming kit with no detail to speak of....AND when I was a far less experienced modeller than I am now! I'll do a proper completed post with more pics shortly! ATB Andrew
