Jagdpanther II WoT
For the longest time I resisted doing this.......
Pointing out each time that one showed up
that it was a "false" Jagdpanther II.
I site the two models by 5M and Minstral Models.....
Both of these being based off my Panther Zerstorer
you can tell by looking at the suspension of their models.....
they have my Panther Steel Wheeled suspension.
I am referring to this model.
for those that remember......
I did this back in 2006
but I didn't have a camera, so I was not able to show pic's till 2007

Now this Jan (2015) is when I finally did the Jagdpanther II.
I tried my best to stay true to the WoT design.
If you look here.....
you will see the Odd set-up for the engine deck
I started by taking my Panther II hull and cleaned off all the details.
I then marked off just behind the Driver and radio operator's hatchs.
I then began to shave away the area where the engine deck will go.
I took a casting from one of my Panther sets ....
cut away the engine deck, sanded it thin,
then sectioned it off to get the panels I needed.
I then began to arrange them in place.
I then sawed the fighting compartment from a cast of my Panther Zerstorer,
and after test fitting, glued it in place, all the while filling gaps and sanding smooth..
Then using Miliput and a part from a Dragon Jagdpanther,
I started on the Gun Mantlet,
often checking from the side to see how it looked.
Once I was saticfied with the general shape
I began working on the roof details.
I first covered the roof with sheet styrene,
then added the various details till I was happy with them.
After adding a few more details... I played with what gun to add.
now looking all over the WoT rendering ......
I could not find any sign of any exhaust pipes.
So I took it upon myself to make side mounted exhausts,
the whole time thinking that if anyone wanted a JP II
true to the WoT rendering.......
all they had to do was to cut and sand them off.
Here is where I decided that the master was ready for the rubber.
So I poured the rubber......
then after all molds were completed .....
I assembled the first casting.
Here are a few views of
the Jagdpanther II with the Panzer Zerstorer auf PzKpfw V
Here are the part break downs
and here it is with just a basic coat of paint
well that's it....
so as always... if there are any questions...
feel free to ask.
Thanks for looking
