Hi Guy!
Hope you had a great time in France, great country to go on hols ey (we usually go to the south, but not this year with the baby almost due). I think it's called a connecting rod in English. Great extra detailing mate, it's all those things which make it even more special!
Cheers

Thank you Martin and Wout. We had a fantastic time, this year we went to the south-west of France, Lot-et-Garonne, nearby Agen, great region with medieval castles and villages, good food and wine. The past three or four years we went to the Lubéron region, Aix-en-Provence, Fréjus...but the hot weather there made us decide to go elsewhere this time.

The technical term for those bars is 'thingies', commonly known as 'doo-dahs' Nice detail addition Guy!

How about 'Lokomotivenantriebsradverbindungsvorrichtung'? Well, same it is elementary: 'Railroad engine driving wheel connection device' Only 44 letters. Would tell, something like this word - Rindfleischetikettierungsüberwachungsaufgabenübertragungsgesetz

Just in case anybody was wondering: 'Lokomotivenantriebsradverbindungsvorrichtung' - although translated correctly by Martin - is not a 'proper' word, I just made it up

It looks proper German to me. Airsprayed the Lokomotivenantriebsradverbindungsvorrichtungen... They were already attached to the wheels and next is to add more detail to the axles.

Lokomotivenantriebsradverbindungsvorrichtungen are looking good Guy! And yes, I am sure that Lokomotivenantriebsradverbindungsvorrichtung isn't a proper word google it and you get this: "No results found for Lokomotivenantriebsradverbindungsvorrichtung" German being a 'Lego language' you can take any number of random bricks words, slot them together and come up with authentic-looking nonsense - for example: Nietenzählberechtigungsbundesamtsvorsitzender (chairman of the federal office authorising the counting of rivets)

The greasiness still needs more attention. By the way, I experimented on grease mixtures and this is what came out : - oil paint lamp black 70% - AK Winter streaking grime 25% - a knifetip of metal pigment 5% mixed all together with white spirit. More to come soon, thanks for your lookies ! Gest regards ! AG.

Looking good there Guy, love that shade of red. Grease looks cool too, but I think it can use a bit more on the moving parts. Ok, it's a German loc so less spills as seen on the older Belgian material, but still. Love what I'm seeing though, keep the magic chooing on!
Cheers

Correct Woutje, I still have to finish this part of the story, I will add fresh grease once this is dry.

Looks perfectly, but... too dry. As though there were in depot several years. Still old and fresh greasing is necessary. It is possible to apply Wilder NL-34 Murky Water to fresh/damp greasing. Sorry, AG
