Hi guys! I have a little had a rest from work to order. Result - the English halberdier, the 16th century. The miniature from threw, 54 mm. I painted with acryle Lifecolor, AK Interactive, Armypainter, Vallejo; oil Wilder, Gamma, Sonet. I wait for the remark. Pleasant viewing.

I really like the metal effect of the armour. Do you ever sleep at all?

Nice work. You list the brands of paint you use. For this figure what brand and colour have you used for the silver metal colour of the armour ?

I painted metal with the following paints: Vallejo 70.865 Oily Steel Armypainter WP1131 Gun Metal Lifecolor LC24 Matt Natural Metal and Citadel 22-60 Runefang Steel. Also I applied Armypainter 1136 Dark Tone. I hope my answer to you it will be useful.

Just a question: Isn´t it complicated to work with so many brands on one figure? I mean, to get the best effect out of every colour? The metal looks perfect and I really love the base!

Frank Frank to me isn't difficult at all. There is no universal brand. Paints of different brands possess the merits and demerits. It is simpler to me to combine. Especially as this miniature is made in one day. To have a rest. Thanks for an assessment!

Thanks Martin I use 5 different brands at this time, mainly Tamiya with the airbrush and Vallejo for hand painting but I like some of the Citadel and Lifecolor colours also, You certainly have a mix here. The finish on your Knight looks great.

Many thanks k1w1! On this figure I didn't mix paint. Just there are a lot of layers of different paint. And washes there is a little and dry brush.

I know what you mean! I paint in Vallejo, LifeColor and Artists acrylic paint from different brands. And oils for some weathering effects. You can always get best results when you experiment with all the stuff available. I will try out Scale75 colours next.

They have very interesting mix sets for fantasy objects. And ink sets. Does anyone here use inks on the figures or kits??

I use different inks from time to time. Have used them on model cars and figures. Their translucent characteristics are fun to work with.
