Enamels to Acrylics ?

Hi guys, I was wondering if any of you guys have converted to Vallejo washes from Enamels . I find they both have great properties but the main benefit of acrylic washes is the drying time of course . I am using both mediums to weather and was thinking about going all out with Acrylics .... opinions please ?

Haven't tried the acrylics but it's no go for me. Ok, it's faster but enamels and (love them even more) oils give you so much more benefits.

I know I switched. I love the way enamels worked, but drying time is better in acrylic, not to mention the color range since any acrylic color can be used to make washes and effects. Acrylics are fantastic to work with when filtering the wash layers. Work in one area, move to another and minutes later back to the first. One of the best parts was removing the stink of solvents under my nose...LOL!

For the brief model experience (since 1980) I have tried (and I continue to try) different options. I have drawn for myself conclusions: water-soluble acryle is good for dust creation, oil - for all processes (including the main painting), enamel - for basic paints. But, in the last several years I use enamel as auxiliary paint.

I have pretty much switched completely to acrylics for everything. My main motivator for going acrylic is the odor situation. I do my modeling in my man room adjacent to the living room, and the odors would be a big drawback.
The Vallejo acrylics I have used seem pretty good, and I think with time I will like them more. Just trying to get the techniques down.
