Hi all, my U-Boat diorama is in its last steps. The next project will be a massive thing of a kit, which I got from a friend for half the price its used to be: Dragons PzKpfWg IV "Im so overengineered" Vorpanzer. Of course it wont be the tank only - ICM has some suitable figures new on the market, including a crewman playing with a cat. Some (TriStar) Infantrymen will be there as well. My carpenter around the corner made a wooden base from oakwood as well. Lets see where this goes.

Looking forward to this. Lend me your friend - there are a couple of kits I wouldn't mind getting for half-price

You can do it Lucas! It only has 1000+ parts but that includes the tracks.

Seems so. Today I glued the first parts on the chassis: the wheel hinges. German engineering vs. Asian model kit madness, it seems. It took a while until I really found out what goes where and how. The first parst are always the most difficult.

The plus side is that the suspension remains fully workable in the end. Looks like you've got a good handle on it so far!

Looking good Lucas! I recently made a start on a set of ICM figures and totally agree with you: good poses, characterful faces and great fit.

Sorry for being late!!! Great start on the crew. Every time I open the box of that kit, it scares me how many parts it has... LOL Can't wait to see your work!

Bench time is always a premium this time of year. Looks like you've got a good start to those trees.

Slowly the trees are getting where I want them. I added some real roots (for the smaller branches) as well and some MiniNatur leaves are on the way, together with two more SciFi figures. So far nothing too special here, spare time is rare time in the last days.

Looks a lot different now. I added MiniNatur grass to the ground and leaves to the trees, plus some yellow flocking for the branches. They will get a complete AB treatment later. In case you never heard about MiniNatur grass tufts & flocking - this is very good stuff for a reasonable price: 3,95 € for a lot of grass tufts @ www.zinnfigur.com for example. For comparison: Youd pay about 10 € for almost the same amount for Noch grass tufts. Furthermore, MiniNatur has a bigger variety to choose from imho.

Finally, this project made some efforts. I added more leaves to the tree and airbrushed more brown & red on the tree, and to the base. The first figure took a seat too.
