The spru shots. Actually Pretty good detail with this one. And the decals. And to be honest I have begun. I have begun the painting of the body. Joe

The first two layers of the painting. First was a layer of Testors Gloss Black. Once dry I sanded it out a bit with 1000 grit to get some of the blemishes to minimize. I then sprayed Alclad Polished Aluminium to give it a "metal" base layer. After this I went with the first color. Model Master Enamel Artict Blue Metal Flake. I will allow this to dry then I plan to move into sanding out some of the blemishes that have occured. I will then hit it with another coat. I plan to build up the paint and then on to clear. All comments, critiques, and criticism are encouraged. Joe

I love Mustangs and will be keeping an eye on this. Interesting paint combination. Is the blue translucent?

Many thanks for looking in.
I am not sure on the paint. It does seem that if I spray a silver or the metals under the metal flake it takes a different look. I am hoping this will do the same.

Dude your paint is off the charts!! Great finish on this one Joe! I do have one question though....Are you gonna leave those original molded in badge emblems on the body?

Great picture. Answers a couple of questions for me. At this point yes the emblems remain. For the simple reason that to take them off will really mess up the paint. The picture also answers the shine question.

Yeah I posted it over at FSM as well. I just found it this morning. I really like the tire size on those wheels in that photo as well. Seems like Revell was a little skimpy on the tire width. Believe me, I aint knockin' your build as you're doing well with it. Just tryin' to provide some input on some of the details.
How far do you plan on going with the motor Joe?

Debating a bunch of stuff. Cut off the fire extinguisher tonight and cut some parts of the roll bar off of scrap tube stock. Not sure if I want to scratch a bunch or not. Kind of leaning towards give it all.

Anything you have my friend. I have little to go off of. A small update. The under parts and the interior tub get some paint and a bit of drybrushing. Semi Gloss Black, Model Master Metalizer Stainless Steel, and then Testors Flat Aluminium. Next will be detail work on the under parts and such. All comments, critiques, and criticism are encouraged. I like the way you picked out the details on the chassis there Joe. As far as the interior goes I don't know what kind of references you have but I've got this here:
I already see a difference in molding from the door panel on the kit to the door panels here.
