Well I'm modeling again. This an old Pyro Hawker Fury (1:48) I had in the stash. Hope I actually finish this one! It's a rough kit, to be sure. The decals are comical. I actually bought a more recent Airfix Hawker Fury to compare the kits. Both rough. But the Airfix decals are quite nice, and will be used.

Always good to get back to the bench! It's neat to see these inter-war designs and the influence they had on subsequent designs. You can definitely see familiar lines here for the Hurricane for example.

Why do I have a feeling this will look pretty darn sweet when done?

Thanks for your comments! Moving right along. The Fury went to the paint booth. I used Floquil Old Silver. When I found out they were shutting down the Floquil factory, I bought up a bunch of Old Silver. Haven't found anything I like better so far. Decals are ready to apply. As I mentioned earlier, I used the decals from the Airfix kit. They behaved well. I was going to start the rigging last night, but I reached for my bottle of CA glue and found it had solidified into a brick. Waiting for the postman to deliver more... I'll be working on my Accurate Miniatures Dauntless in the meantime.

Tough break on the CA. Always good to have a fallback kit to keep you busy! Markings look good on the old silver.
