Hello folks, I know it's been awhile since I've post here but that's to Wouter, Andy, and Bill I'm back to add my misadventures in model building for your enjoyment. My addition to this floaty group build thing is Tamiya'a 1/350 Bismarck. I bought this kit off ebay for $12 with the full knowledge that it was not in the best of shape. To be exact she has a nice crack in the hull with some pieces missing also and the entire battle bridge section was also missing. Plus other nic-nac parts and the deck cut out for it to be motorized. But thanks to Tamiya missing parts solved. Now this kit was ripe for a AM makeover so additional help for was called in from Pontos(deck), MK1(watertight doors, portholes), Master Model(37and 20mm barrels), and Ship Vessels PE and gun barrels. I stumbled across Ship Vessels PE and gun barrel set on ebay, and for the amount of PE plus the gun barrels (15", 5", and 105mm) for $30 I said why not, and I was not disappointed when it came in the mail. Now that the backround has been told here are some pics.
All the goodies
How she came
The Ship Vessels PE
And last, the crack
And the head scratching part...found the missing hull pieces in the box! WIN! But um, the guy was able to find these little bits but not a whole section of the bridge?LOL!! Not going to look a gift horse in the mouth!
