What you see here is the creation of "sponson's" to cover the inside wheel wells of the tank. This was done with sheet styrene 020" thick. This address's one of the short comings of this particular model. I also used Monroe Perdu Design Studios, Zimmerit for this kit as well as the bazooka shields (which can be found at www.monroeperdu.com/). The kit was built straight from the box with only the addition of the above items and a purchase from Tamiya. Another sprue of the Road Wheels for $5 which I will use to address another short coming of this particular kit; the missing doubled up center road wheels. I will post more photo's as I progress

Welcome to the forum! Won't take you long to shake off the rust by the looks of things with that Panther project.

Thank you all for the welcome and the words of encouragement. However, I realize this is not the place to post this work. I got a little over zealous as this is my first posting. I apologize for this and does anyone know how to move this thread to another more apropriate place on this site?

Welcome to the forum. There is no problem with adding a few pictures to your introduction. No need to move them, just start a post for your build in the armor section and leave this as it is.

First off - howdy!
That MP zim looks a lot better than I thought it would after seeing it in the package. Wow.
The missing road wheels - how are you going to fix the problem?

I contacted Tamiya parts replacement and purchased the "C" Sprue, which contains the road wheels. I cut off the spacing plastic off the rear center back of the road wheels and glued the two wheels together. The only issue now is that the rubber tracks that came with the kit do not fit correctly, since the spacing is to narrow for the new center wheels. I have purchased Bronco's Panther "early type" workable tracks as a hopeful replacement and now Just waitng on its arrival.

Leon,
Did you post/upload any pic's of your Panther ausf. a? I would like to see what you have done. I also posted my build in the Axis armor! You may have to search back a page or two to find it as I haven't had any progress on it in awhile.

If you are referring to the holes at the very bottom of the hull, nothing it will not be seen.
