Hi, everybody. My new project - the screen version of an episode from Max Gallo's novel "Napoleon". "On the high hill at Jena there were Napoleon and Caulaincourt . Around them staff officers fussed. Murat dressed as usual in a very stupid dress: glazetovy drawers, hussar mentik with fur and a sable cap - showed to the officer where it is necessary to strike blow - to the 1st regiment. The general Saint-Hilaire only approached to headquarters from the division with the report. Suddenly Napolon specified Caulaincourt in outlines of the carriage in which the woman went are far: - Here your acquaintance, Caulaincourt. - My acquaintance, Sir? About whom you? - Queen of Prussia. It seems to it war is not pleasant any more. Women are so not constant. What time is it now? - Nearly a midday, Sir. - In two hours the Jena from a small small village will turn into the name of a great victory." I have a set from Italery NAPOLEON'S GENERAL STAF. In a box from 8 figures: 4 infantrymen and 4 cavalrymen. Scale 1:32

Love this stuff! Imagine, you do this with Historex stuff! I am curious for the paint jobs! Frank I paint figures with acrylic paints from different firms. Very much I like LIFECOLOR, Zvezda, Akan. Also I still paint with paint from Revell. Paints with a metal shade at me from Luch. The main book which I use on this subject - Fred and Lilian Funken "Napoleonic wars"

Hi guys! 1 stage. Figure of the French general of a cavalry Victor Latur-Mobur. I painted with acryle Lifecolor, Zvezda, Luch. The general is dressed in a form of the 1st dragoon regiment. Victor Latur-Mobur's portrait. French dragoons. Now it is a little about sad. Guys, I should abandon you for couple of days because on Friday I take the last examination at university in this semester. "I'll be back" - The Terminator

With success! But allow me one question: The anantomy of the plastic figures seems not correct. I have the feeling, the heads are too big??

For Napoleonic area, check out Historex if you want to model in plastic. For pewter figures, Pegaso does the best available!

The smaller the figure, the more it becomes a caricature. This is so it can incorporate a recognizable level of detail. Usually the heads and hands become more oversize - this was particularly noticeable with the popular 28mm size of wargame figures, for example for those produced by Games Workshop for their two main ranges. But when they got the "Lord of the Rings" franchise the licensees insisted on better proportioned figures, and this became the new standard for the emerging ranges of multi-part historical figures. These became known as "True 28mm" while the previous style became known as "Heroic 28mm", both now co-exist. However even the "True 28mm" (approximately 1:56th scale, which has led to an expanding availability of 1:55th scale vehicles) are necessarily somewhat caricatured, as far as I know the only small figures with true anatomical proportions were 20mm(?) metal figures produced by John Niblett about four decades ago; these appeared unnaturally attenuated and the project did not prosper.
Regards,
M

Hi, everybody. Long ago I did not work on the diorama therefore on it the high grass has grown. Tomorrow I will go to cut it. Work on a tree is not finished yet - it is necessary to finish foliage and to make apples. Also it was not much indulged in the photo editor, having taken historical pictures.
