I've been curious about a real build log on this thing for a while, looks like it's well-engineered. I snagged the standard issue kit a while ago for $20, haven't even looked in the box yet.

Hi RB, you wont be disappointed. Little things here and there but not an issue IMO. Paint is on and heavy chipping has begun. This baby is going to be well worn. I had a photo of one just all combat worn but cannot locate it now....oh well. Some washes will further tone down some of the chipping. first wash was just applied and is drying now. Ill seal that tomorrow and continue the process as I get all of the stowage ready to prime. More to come. Bob

Hi all; So the build, paint and weather stage has completed. With the exception of the stowage (modern, ordered some and on the way) this portion has been completed. Kit - all in all this was a great little kit. small issues came up but nothing that cant be handled. Beware the instructions as they can be confusing as far as some of the images and parts not being listed. This was a fun project that was a joy to build. Bob

Well built and well weathered Brother. Next time the train flat beds roll by the house with these on them, I'll grab one for Julie's daily commuter.

ADT - thank you Todd - thank you kind sir. Stowage finally arrived yesterday Dave - brother Dave as long as you pick me up too Dupes - thank you So the stowage finally arrived yesterday and In between waiting I knocked out a 1/72 Dragon Pz III, just cause my friend Ed was breaking my chops. Nice kit.....way too small for my sausage fingers. Anyway while some of the stowage was curing in the booth I wanted to add some rolled up chain link fence. I poked around and did some research one to see if any aftermarket company's made it and if not what could I use. Found out that tulle or wedding vial material is a dead ringer, however you should have seen the look on my wife's face when I took the role out of the packaging. talk about a perplexed look Anyway I went to town got what I needed cut, painted then rolled it around one of my PE bending spindles. I used Eduard PE tie downs and the end result is pretty convincing. Out of the two Meng stowage items I ordered one was in a nifty little black box. I had no idea that Meng made resin items (or someone makes them for Meng and they re-box). This is some nice stuff, crisp detail and easy to get of the mold plugs without damaging anything. the bags contain the web gear and two M4s. Ill hit the bench in a few to start paining some of the stowage Items I am putting on. Be back shortly?

Leon - thanks buddy
Todd - thanks buddy and I agree, there are some that are freaking super detailed with PE that is smaller than a 1/35 PE OVM tool clamps. Its insane.
Andy - he was laughing at my texts to him cursing him out LOL

Ok its been a productive day to say the least. I wrapped up the stowage on the M3A3 and completed the final dusting. So once that was done I grabbed a base I had purchased a while ago and figured I would get this hit with some primer and paint. I could not sit idle waiting for paint to dry enough for another coat, so as I looked down on the shelf on one of my benches I had forgotten to put a 1/48 kit away in the stash. Tamiyas Komatsu dozer. Well one think led to another and in 45 minutes........... BAM! I think there is something really wrong with me...........LOL Bob
