How do we go about organizing a Sherman group build for the new year? What I envision is a 1 Feb to 1 July period, any scale, any era, any kit. Any takers? Talk more soon, Joel.

How do we go about organizing a Sherman group build for the new year? Pretty much like that! This thread will serve to show us who is interested and we go from there. When the time comes, we can set up a GB thread for this.

There are three or four Sherman builds underway right now...maybe we don't wait until Feb to start, why don't we declare it started as of nw?

I did a count of Sherman kits yesterday, and it's embarrassing! I counted 16 Tasca kits plus one Tamiya rebox. Add to this another three Tamia M4a3e8 kits, and another three Tamiya kits ear marked for conversions. Then there were eight Dragon kits, and an unknown quantity of 1/48th kits. Now if you'd asked me a week ago about the most kits in my stash, I'd have said Panthers. Believe me, have a bunch of Panthers!
Funny thing is that the Sherman has never been a favorite with me. For Allied tanks, I'm in the T34 camp. On the otherhand I've never been a big Tiger fan. I like them and the aura they bring, but I'll take a Panther any day. gary

I might be down for this. Got only one (35th) Sherman in the case, it's about time for another. I counted 16 Tasca kits plus one Tamiya rebox. Holy smokes! How many different variants did Tasca do? Like 4 or 5?

Does a Firefly count as a Sherman? If so, I'll say 50/50 on a, "yes" for participation.
