I am toying with this one: Nice, but I suspect the Banksey had been painted over when Stompy got that paintjob. Two of my favourites:

Got hold of my first new kits of the year yesterday, both e-bay buys. I have been keeping an eye open for Hase 72nd F-111's for a while now and this one came up last week, their FB-111A, so I grabbed that quick. Now their D/F kit is on E-Bay for auction and that's one I really want so I can do a Lakenheath aircraft, will see how that goes this week. And this one has been on the radar for a few years, just kept putting it off. This is my first HB boxing of the Tristar kits and was I glad when these stared to re-appear.

That Tristar kit is really a nice kit. I picked one up last year in an original Tristar boxing, and a couple months later bought the Hobby Boss boxing. They are supposed to be releasing another Marder that was tooled up right before Tristar went under. I gather the new kit never hit the market. gary

Ye, I recall us discussing that new Marder a while back. I checked on Scalemates at the time and that Marder didn't hit the shelves under the Tristar label from what I recall.
have you noticed any difference between the Tristar and HB boxing.

More Japanese closet cleaning. The Super GT kits come with some out of production Shunko Decals liveries for the Lexus and NiSMO Z base kits. I see nothing. Even the instructions are from Tristar gary Cheers. Didn't think there would be but you never know. buyer beware; the Tristar Panzer IV's and kits using that hull have a minor suspension issue, and wheels and sprockets are not right. Most folks won't catch the problem, and Tristar did a fix in another kit. gary

The quarter leaf springs are not correct, and Tristar put out a kit will weighted leaf springs. Think there's a resin set out there as well. What's wrong with the wheels, I don't remember. May be the diameter of the road wheels. I picked up on it with a Brumbar build on Track Link awhile back (same hull). I will build the D and the Brumbar, How I'm not sure. Back to the update kit a second. I'm not positive it's still in production. I have one kit, and really need four or five! Wheels are easy to come by. Maybe I need to learn the art of resin casting. gary

Don't have the kit in my hands yet, but I finally got 50% of the two A6m2b Zeros I've been wanting for a couple years. I had the A6m5 Tamiya 1/32 kit, and this one is their A6m2b. The kit came with photo etch, HGH seat belts, resin wheels for the main gear, plus masks. I got my A6m5 for $80 and was happy, but I picked all this up for $85. Now to con a buddy of mine out of the Ruff conversion for the Tamiya kit.

Got the same 'On Display' and am actually not all that impressed with it - a couple of techniques I'll be trying, but on the whole I'm rather 'whelmed' I'll be interested to hear what the Mission paints are like. ARK? Brave man, for that alone karma+1

Arrived yesterday: And very nice they are too, with only a very small casting plug: They're for the ICM Studebaker US6 which I'm still waiting for. Unfortunately the ICM kit comes with post-war-patterned tyres. Most AM wheels available for this kit cost almost as much as the kit itself - these were on special offer at under 9€. Hope I'll have as much luck getting a set for a DUKW (that aren't sagged) AND the order for three items I placed with Lucky Model before X-mas last year is finally on its way!

Lately though I've been buying more then building, hopefully life unclutters some soon. is that a new kit (production wise)? Never seen it before, and that's why I ask. I have the Dragon HA, but would like another Marine M1 sometime in the future. Have one Meng M1 in the ever growing pile of kits, and really like it. Yet also have three Rye Field kits as well. I fully expect RFM to do the entire series, as we need an M1 initial production tank real bad. I'd love to see them do the Chrysler XM1 and the Allison XM1 as well. Whatever happened to the Chrysler hull, I don't know, but Littlefield bought the Allison hull (often incorrectly called the G.M. tank). gary
