Some detail pieces and parts from Plamoz P/E for the RevellAG Porsche 918 & AMG GT. Wheels for the AMG GT x2, and RevellAG McLaren 570S x2 (one of which is part of a conversion to convert the kit to a 540C - the "detuned entry level" version of the car) InkedDSC03021_LI by James Duff, on Flickr

I might not get much building done at the moment, but that doesn't stop me buying stuff: My LHS started selling that paint brand awhile back (Model Air). Have you used it before? Also how well does it go on? What kind of pressures were you using? Did you spray it strait out of the bottle, or thin it even more? gary

Generally I don't thin it, but I add a few drops of Flow Improver to stop tip drying.

Been using the 4BO set for a while and am seriously impressed with it (less impressed by the fact that Vallejo doesn't sell two of the paints in 17ml) But now I've got a couple of Lend/Lease builds planned, so I added the Olive Drab set to my growing collection of Vallejo paints.

Dierk, check the numbers.... it might be sold under a different name. I have found that a few times that the same color of say olive drab for example, is sold as something different like US Marine uniform green (just an example not the actual colors)
Leon- Scalehobbyist has been my go to online retailer since I had a similar experience with them. I ordered two of the same kit and one other kit. When the box arrived, the kit I wanted two of I only had one, and the single I wanted there were two. I emailed them and same thing, within 2 hours I think I had an email saying the correct kit was on the way and appologies. I sent them back a question on how to ship the wrong kit back, and their answer ( I believe from the president of the company) was thank you for the offer but please accept the kit as our apologies for not getting your order perfect the first time. It meant alot to me to have a company be that kind of stand up, and I will compare JUST ABOUT every online purchase I make to Scalehobbyist before I make them elsewhere.... usually only going elsewhere because Scale Hobbyist doesnt carry what Im comparing

'Nothing personal, it's only business'

got my Tamiya A6m2b Zeke yesterday afternoon. Very nice kit with one exception. The main gear wheel wells are purely fictional. Kit came with a.m. masks, photo etch, HGH seat belts, and resin wheels. Now I need one more Zeke to build a Rufe out of. gary

No pictures to show, but I had an electrician over yesterday to wire several new outlets into my basement to support the expansion of my work area to include a new dedicated indoor painting area - soon there will be no more whims of the Pennsylvania weather for me. Hopefully the addition of a paint booth, new compressor with a tank, and two additional airbrushes to support the venerable old single action Paasche Model H I've had since I was a teenager will get at least a few more models built every year.

They're alive and kicking Gary - check out ebayyep I did some research the other night, and also found a dealer. Always liked Voyager products, and now see they have expanded their line to include a similar kit to Eduard's Big Ed Edition. Still mostly for armor, but it's a good start. gary

Once I found out that some of these ended up in the Lend/Lease programme and were also built under license in Russia, I had to add one to my growing stash of wingies. Best of all, I put a silly bid in on this one early on and ended up winning the auction by 2 €cents - less than 28€ in total including postage. RESULT! It's bloody huge though...

It's bloody huge though... somewhere I have a book on U.S. aircraft being used in Russia. They used two different Catalina's, and modified a few to use a large Russian built turret in place of the OEM one. Most looked to be a dark blue or black. May have had the white outlined red stars. I didn't know they reverse engineered the Cat's, but seems like I read they re-engined a few of them. gary

Nice collection there! I recognise some stuff I have in my own stash intended for a similar purpose, some stuff I have that wasn't bought for PA but which might be re-purposed, stuff I have on my shopping list, and (most importantly) stuff I didn't know about but I'll have to give some consideration to now. I'm thinking of an armed refugee column set in something like the "Twilight 2000" Role-Playing Game universe (but maybe with added Plague Zombies and Mutants in the scenario background, if not actually depicted)... I'd have to do it in sections, that way parts may be completed if not the overall concept.
Regards,
M
