Plenty of inspiration in those pictures. I'm thinking giving the Soviet Snow Troops some form of respirator would enable one to paint up the bulky clothing as some sort of "Noddy Suit" (NBC/CBW suit)...
Regards,

Got these at wonderfest and got to meet TRM. Had a blast lots of great work there. My iron man got silver (yay) if it's hard to see the white box it's a bust of the Abyssal Dweller. Never done a bust before so we'll see how it goes when i finally get around to it. Any suggestions of what paints to use for a resin bust?

Any suggestions of what paints to use for a resin bust? I'd say whatever you feel most comfortable using.

Modelers are just like stereotyped women who go window shopping at the mall. Oh, I just gotta have that purse. But with a new purse, I need a dress to go with it, then shoes, then etc., etc. etc. Was at Hobby Lobby looking for balsa wood ($30!)to use in making a tree house and fences for some future diorama builds. I of course, had a 40% off coupon (don't leave home without one) when I saw the first truck. Later, was running around town hitting various stores and there was Michaels (and coupon by amazing co-incidence).....which got me the 2nd truck. As a truck driver, I KNOW what's suppose to be on 'em, so got my work cut out for me. This is the company I'll be making one of the models of. As to the garage, that was a mistake on my part since I'm building in 1/35th scale. The Ebay seller said it was 1/35th scale and I snapped it up right off the bat. If I had REALLY LOOKED at the photos posted, I'd of seen it was 1/24th scale. Got a HUMONGOUS box and quickly realized it was 1/24th scale. Wrote/explained to seller about this and they took $10 off and changed the title/info about the kit.

Nice haul there Will! I started out in the hobby building trucks and their trailers. Started off building aircraft because I was in the Air Force, Dad was in the army w/Pattons outfit, then he went to the Air Force when it became its own service. Before I quit modeling, I worked as yard dog (moving/cleaning trailers/trucks) for a produce company, so started buying 1/24th & 1/25th scale trucks & trailers. Think I've got 5 trucks, a 42 foot trailer, 42 foot reefer, car hauler, tanker with the hardest set getting my hands on was 2 sets of pups....24' trailers. Going to (eventually) make what's called a Rocky Mountain special which is a truck pulling a 42' & 24' trailer at the same time which I did for quite awhile from Reno to Tonopah, along with pulling triple set of pups through out Nevada. Another version of the Rocky Mountain special is TWO 42' trailers, though I've very rarely seen them.

Sigh....Got enough stuff for a bunch of dioramas, but things just kind of happen to me. Planning on moving to Florida next year to be with Dad who's 90 this month. Been busy packing stuff up and I got A LOT of stuff. So much, went to The Shed yesterday to start putting things inside. Now The Shed is kind of like a black hole even though it's only 12'x16' and filled with stuff I keep. Half of it's unbuilt kits, the other half a combination of reference material, camping/fishing gear, etc. It's been awhile since I've been in it and it needed some organizing to make room for about 50 of those office paper file boxes I've filled. All modeling boxes are marked with a number and somewhere, I have a printed list of what's in what, I HAD put this info on a thumb drive and of course, some how it got wiped out and I can't find the printout. So happened to check one box and found these 2 kits plus some tank kit. Must of bought 'em when Squadron had a sale awhile back.

Coincidentally just watched a programme about the P-51 a couple of nights ago. Found out the external fuel tanks were made of paper and resin
