Very sci-fy-looking bit of German weirdness. Let the paint fly!

Very cool. I think that the completed version was to have some sort of anti air capabilities....after all it was at the end of the war

Nice, was looking at this kit the other day. Will be looking forward to seeing the paint go on. How was it to build.

Keeping the fires going on that bench Tobias...very nice! Nothing wrong with a quick build, it means getting to the good stuff that much faster!

Great built, didn't know it was out already. From the pictures I saw, this one is quite complete. I read that the production vehicles would have some MG 42 for close defense, I don't know were they should come.

I picked this one up at a show over the weekend. Looks like a fun build.
How are you going to finish this one?

Drive across minefield at snail's pace in 130 ton unarmed but heavily armoured bullet magnet behemoth, detonate mines, make path for others to follow. Simples ........
Notice how the track of the front and rear wheels is different, to double the width of the swept paths. Strong simple wheels to survive the blast, elevated hull to allow blast to dissipate somewhat and massive weight to repel the blast pressure. But this was 40 years before anyone came up with the V-shaped hull concept and 60 years before shock-absorbing suspended seating, so the poor occupants would have been very shaken and probably more than a little stirred by mine blasts. Not to mention a rainstorm of tank, anti-tank and artillery projectiles and Sturmovik or Typhoon rockets. This thing was bigger and heavier than Maus, so hard to miss. A barn door - with the barn still attached!
Raumer and other similar ideas like the Lauster Wargell were past their time by 1944 as Germany was in retreat everywhere and had little need of assault minefield breaching capability.

Any thoughts if the shoes were metal or rubber? In the BW photos they are dusty/dull black.

Maybe a heavy rubber. I´m not sure how to paint the shoes, but the vehicle will be in a metal/rust way
