Scratchmod-
AKA Napolean Blown-apart!
Between this and the LOKI I believe you are going to create a spike in sales of Tichy products.

Yep, besides the rust fever...I've got the MBW thing as well ;D ;D No bench time today but did do some mental planning and have a few things to add to this wreck. As far as what blew this apart...I was think a Stuka drop a little present for the poor Russians in the KV.

Those pilots were pretty accurate....and deadly too. Nothing like a big fat ole bomb being dropped on a tank.......kaaaaaboooom........scrap metal anyone.

Well I just got back in from doing yard cleanup the past few hours....and putting up X-mas deco and lights outside. Figured I'd do it now since it's nice out. Am beat but will try to get an hour at the bench...then maybe later tonight.
Can't wait to start playing with paint again. ;D ;D

Yep , no harm in that Mark.
I spent about three hours on the turret last night, mainly on the gun and mount. The kit comes with a crappy plastic barrel and the molds were off set so it was not round. Luckily I found a metal barrel and breach from a T-34 mod 41 that I had built years ago. It took a while but I did find those parts...yep T, they were in the shed. The kit parts on the front of the turret, the mantlet and stuff was hollow , which meant that with the roof off and the turret off the turret ring....all you saw was a big open void. I used basically guess work on that area and added.......nuts and bolts...just to add detail in that area.
Wife is going to a baby shower this afternoon, so it's me and the dogs in the hobby room for about 4 hours....should get the turret and some other details done in that time. Could be getting primer on this in the next couple days if all goes well.

OK fellas, just a small update. It's taking longer than I thought to do the turret...mainly due to studying ref pics to get some of the details and also for the battle damage. Note the gun is not straight, it's just dry fitted and will be glued after painting. I also added more bolts to the turret ring along with some detail. Now to the cool aprt. Going with the thought that it's 1942-43 before the big gun Panther and Tiger, this KV took on a few hits before the Stuka came in for the kill. I used ref pics for this part and think it looks ok. Once the painting is underway you will see these marks better. Hope you like so far. Like the website says......the art of destruction ;D ;D

Hiya jackwagon, thanks bud. Yep sure did. I have a tool I made years ago just for this. It's a metal rod that has both ends tapered but one is very small and somewhat pointed. This one is used for small arms pock marks.
Hoping to get more time in later and get some of what's left of the hull detail on.

T, I am very tempted to at least start painting the turret....lots of detail in there that will stand out.....might not be 100% accurate, but there is something there
