The Riesen Panzer IV is an original design resin garage kit produced by NZ Industrial from Japan. The web site is all in Japanese but what I have been able to translate is during WWII the Germans set up a base on Mars. There they discovered some previous civilization's culture and technology. The engineers built armored walking suits based on this technology. After that I couldn't make much sense out of the machine translation. Cool looking stuff though. The kit was pretty well engineered but most of the joints were either too tight or too loose, so I ended up picking a pose and pinning and gluing in place. The kit MG barrel was replaced with an RB model turned aluminum and brass Flak 43 barrel. I added a few small extras from the spares box. The model was painted with Tamiya Acrylics. Chipping is a combination of the HS technique and a small brush. It was weathered with oils, enamels, and pigments. Groundwork is a piece of carved pink foam with debris made from foam bricks and misc items from the spares box. It was painted with Tamiya and Vallejo and weathered with oils and pigments. The crusty snow is Woodland Scenics Snow mixed with clear gel. The figure was pieced together from a couple different figures and painted with Vallejo. Thank you Leon, TRM, Wes, Tobias, and PanzerJ. This has been an on again off again build for almost a year. PanzerJ - It's pretty cool stuff but not part of the SF3D universe. It's from Kampf Riesen Mars - an original series that I don't fully understand. www.kampf-riesen-mars.com/history.html
