It was a compliment indeed Leon, thankfully Tony did already explain. Recently I finished reading a book about the history of German camouflage practice and color jobs on tanks. Your tracked bush instantly reminded me of the constant air threat at the Western front, which had an important impact on the evolution of colors and schemes and also the general doctrine, whereas until then the focus had been primarily on Russia. It went up to the point that is was forbidden to transport vehicles in dark yellow finish by train during daylight and in the open, because of the high losses of factory fresh vehicles.

The one REALLY nice thing about the scale I work in is, you damn near can just go out side and grab small twigs and roots for tree's.... or maybe I am a cheap skate after alllllllllll PJ2

Evening fellas! I made a good start on the base today.I'm using an 8x10 picture frame which looks like weathered wood and is perfect for this dio. The first order of business was to cut 2 pieces of foam to represent small hills for the trees.Next came a layer of tile grout for the base. After this cured i brushed on a layer of Vallejo brown earth texture. After this dryed for an hour i put on a second layer and smoothed it out with water in certain spots and added the pine needles. If you look close enough at some of the pics you can see them.Going to let this dry overnight and add the dead branches and wood tomorrow.I'm really liking how this is turning out.Hope you like it to. 003 by Leon Dorak, on Flickr 004 by Leon Dorak, on Flickr 005 by Leon Dorak, on Flickr 006 by Leon Dorak, on Flickr 007 by Leon Dorak, on Flickr 008 by Leon Dorak, on Flickr Thanks for looking!
