You think that's bad, it can be worse for railway modellers. William Stroudley (1833-1889) was Locomotive and Carriage Superintendent of the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway, a brilliant engineer but colour blind. He introduced a colour for locomotives called "Improved Engine Green"; it's a sort of golden ochre! He was the boss, no-one was going to argue...
Cheers,
M

Now we're talking Leon!
I do like that 50/50 mix. Makes for a great late war shade. Weathering will make that baby pop.
I did a 60/40 mix DY and Buff and it came out great. Nice mid tone tan-yellow.

Amazes me how your skill has improved since you joined MSC. You are now airbrushing with comfort and you are doing great with this Dragon kit if you have built it before. Keep up with the great work!

Andy, thank you my friend! I've learned a lot since joining MSC and still learning. Who said you can't teach an old dog how to use an airbrush? ? It was worth the investment and helping me paint better.

Leon, I apologize for misleading you about the hole in the "saukopf" mantlet being on the wrong side. Hopefully that will teach me to check my references before I open my mouth. Please don't beat me, I bleed easily and noisily ;<).

Morning fellas! Fired up the AB this morning and got the figures and schurzen primed.I used Vallejo grey primer undiluted and sprayed it at 20 PSI with no tip dry.Went on smooth and i amazed myself. BTW...Not all the figures will be used on the StuG.Some will be used on the previous Panther build. 001 by Leon Dorak, on Flickr 002 by Leon Dorak, on Flickr Thanks for looking.

You're really makin' quite the progress on this one Leon. I haven't racked up the courage to try an armor model yet. Still got a ways to go on the skillset before I try those. This is looking great buddy.

Evening fellas! Have to take 1 step backwards on this build. Thought i would start the camo on the StuG and decided to do the skirts first.Thank god i did.Put a few drops of Vallejo model air armor green in the AB to get the spray pattern set.All i could get was a wide pattern and a lot of overspray.Tried ajusting the needle and PSI to no effect.Should have quit then but i went ahead and sprayed the schurzen. The results were a disaster. They are now stripped and ready for primer again in the morning.
