During all the rain we've been getting I built this just to get it out of my SPG stash. Only one ever saw combat on the eastern front as a command vic. It had Zimmerite but I don't so i'm building it as under construction. Tony lee

Yep,i've got a DML Panther "G" Late Production #6268 which was the First Smart Kit yet to go before I can claim a virgin SPG stash. Removed the bubble gum sponge today. This was the first kit to be issued with DS tracks. The kit tracks are around the canister in the background because Dragon had them FOLDED up on the decal/PE card, they were badly kinked and the guide horns were mostly crushed flat. Thanks Guys Tony lee

That's definitely a good way to 'purge' the stash Tony! As good an excuse as any to build it for sure.

Update Grills: The side grills are supplied with the kit but the large electric motors cooling vent grill was not. I made one from a sheet of fine mesh screen and some scrap PE. Thanks for coming by the shop Tony lee

Last night we almost got blown away and my bench is right under that damage plus a two foot hole in the roof. Not my tree but the property is vacant and no one knows who owns it so I have the honor of paying for fixing it. Tony lee

WOw...that sucks! I suppose you have to be thankful that everyone is okay..."things" can be fixed easier than people! I am surprised the Home Owner's Insurance does not cover this. Best of luck on the removal and repair!

Talk about gung ho. It's not every day you see someone try to camouflage their home.
I feel for you Tony. I went through the same drill some years ago. No fun at all.

Oh yeah Home Owners will pay all but $500 but the hassle of getting things lined up and for the repairmen to show up when they say they will and it's pouring down in buckets plus worse storms coming in Friday,Saturday and Sunday. It's a great life if you don't weaken Tony lee

Tony, if you have a Lowes near you, they have a list of approved contractors. I know you know this, but, watch out for "fly-by-night" contractors that will take your money and run. Another source is homeadvisors.com Hope this helps you. Thank the Lord for no injuries!

"Only one ever saw combat on the eastern front as a command vic. It had Zimmerite but I don't so i'm building it as under construction."
It also had an escape hatch in the turret which Dragon ignored.....but they later corrected that with another release.
Just pointing it out, Paul
