Thanks, everyone for stopping by and taking time to post. I'm glad you're enjoying it. I'm beginning work on the center section as well as getting together "a few other things". Aft section of the pod: The core of the engine housing is taken from a kid's toy. (Don't worry they'll never notice it gone.) Diameter * pie = the correct size for the hot section ring! These are interesting little dodads. They are the waste material from my buddy's 3D printer. They are the matrix support parts in place until they can be broken away after the print is complete.
I'm also going to include a BB-8 droid so as to set the ship solidly in the Star Wars universe.
Basic paint on figure #2.
The whole gang! Thanks again for watching. If work doesn't call tomorrow, I might get a whole bunch more completed.

Lots of fussing and some actual work completed, mostly, sort of. I finished the BB droid unit. I'm calling it BB-7 and declaring it a less sophisticated version of the orange one we all know and love. I've learned that it's difficult to lay out 2D masks and apply them to a 3D surface. I also cut the foam for the base. (A wooden mounting plug for the ship is hidden just below the surface.) For some time I've seen others use Ban-Dai robot parts for SciFi builds. I found this little guy for $15 and decided the parts might be fun. With the exception of the handlebars and steering blades, the entire speeder bike is made from parts contained in this single Ban-Dai kit. (Whole thing was about 2 hours construction.) It's still going to need some weathering.
Thanks for watching!

Been a minute or two since I've checked in here. Finding the good words to describe what I see is difficult. You truly have a talent for this kind of stuff I can say that.

Other wing. Should have added the mesh to the first two holes. But I didn't think of it until everything was built.

Thanks for watching, gents. I decide that I really, really wanted to add a mesh over the wing which didn't have any. I plotted a thing in plastic and added an extra sheet.

Amazing how different a coat of primer makes it look. Standard Krylon?

Amazing how different a coat of primer makes it look. Standard Krylon? Nope. It's Mr. Surfacer 1000, Mr. Leveling Thinner (Mixed about 30/70 respectively.)and some black Tamiya paint just to get it to a very dark grey. If you've not had a try with this combination, you should. Here's where it is now:

I'm sure you do your own decals, but if you're ever looking for SW logos and Aurebesh stuff, I know a guy who has a pretty extensive collection of sheets he's come up with.
