Tony - all I can say is really poor quality control. Those zits are freaking everywhere. I would send it back but no way to get another one

Guess Ill have to just hack at it till done.....depressing as it is the perfect base for this project.

Hi all;

Sorry for being absent for a while but things are a bit on the insane side. My beautiful Wife just had a mild stroke this past weekend and thankfully the recovery will be long but good, just her left arm and leg have been affected. They also found a small aortic anurism but thank God this will not require surgery but she will need to be monitored closely. needles to say with that and a lack luster job front sucking I have been in a funk and stressed to no end. I managed to get down to the bench and try to relax and was able to at least get phase two completed that being the figures.











I have to hit one or two of them again with flat as there appear to be some shiny spots but no big deal. I have got some base colors on the base itself and should have some shots up this weekend. Good to be back at the bench.

Excellent work on the Sherman and crew

As for the wife's triple A don't be overly concerned; as you said they will monitor it and if it gets past a certain size they'll pop in a stent which they can insert thru the iliac arteries. A common procedure nowadays with an excellent success rate that I have been part of the team in when I worked in the OR. My dad had this done some years ago and he's just fine with no limitations or complications. Rest easy brother

I managed to get some of the base painted just picking out the colors for the base before weathering and detailing.







Lots more to go here. Patience is the key. Once this cures a bit Ill start the next process.
