Good to see you back working on this one Leon! Working on a whitewash scheme is always an adventure, looks like you've got this one headed in the right direction.

Why don't you just give it a coat of clear, then you can wash and weather away. I share your misgivings about the tracks - I know everybody seems to go for rusty looking tracks nowadays, but to my understanding tracks on an operational tank shouldn't be, but what do I know...

Dierk,i have the clear coat on! Just can't deside on the wash to use.I don't want to obliderate the white. I'd go for light grey and/or light brown - just mix your own by heavily diluting your chosen paint. Vallejo do a wash specifically for winter camo, but it is very white IMO.

Evening fellas! Made some progress with the weathering.Gave this cat an overall wash of light gray and gave the rust streaking another try. It's not perfect, but i'm happy with the results.I may try some streaking grime, not sure yet. Also picked up a picture frame so i can start on the base. 001 by Leon Dorak, on Flickr 002 by Leon Dorak, on Flickr 003 by Leon Dorak, on Flickr 004 by Leon Dorak, on Flickr 005 by Leon Dorak, on Flickr Thanks for looking! Morning fellas! Did some more work on the base last night.Started by adding some mud and small twigs.I'll be putting down another coat of mud so i can imprint the tank tracks and adding some mud to the sides of this cat.To make the dark mud i used Vallejo brown earth texture and added in some Liquitex mars black acrylic paint. 001 by Leon Dorak, on Flickr 002 by Leon Dorak, on Flickr 003 by Leon Dorak, on Flickr 004 by Leon Dorak, on Flickr 005 by Leon Dorak, on Flickr Thanks for looking!
