I see your getting all of your Tigers done Tony,i built this last year, thought it was a great kit,and yours looks great.
Refer to David Bryden's Tiger site for some good info,as the kits painting instructions were wrong.

Tony, nice work thus far.
David Byrden's site is excellent and he is the defacto Tiger I expert. I ran afoul of him on my Tiger build because I put 5 spare tracks on the side of the turret (6 will not fit) and he insisted over and over that I was wrong and the Tiger I that I was modeling had 6 spare tracks. He based his opinion on some blurry close up of the actual tank that was covered in foliage while mine was based on actually trying to fit 6 tracks which would have covered the escape hatch and which is clearly not the case in the photos of the actual tank. I was not impressed with his obstinate refusal to consider other people's opinions.

I won't argue with those guys,I listen or read, weight the evidence and do what I think is more the case or makes the most sense. Anyway it's Update Time: Parts,Paint and Tracks: This is the one i'm building since it was one of the first Tiger 1's delivered. Another day another paint sniffing high Tony lee

Update More Parts: Applied storage box PE,jack, fenders, track tool box and filter system. The instructions implied that you assemble and install the duct works first then the filter bodies but I built it in reverse to avoid gaps which made more sense to me. This has been one of the best if not the best DML kit i've ever built. Tony lee

Tony's got Tiger fever in a big way! I have a feeling the SPG rotation will come back around soon enough though.

Update Paint: RAL 8000 Gelbbraun and RAL 7008 Graugrun No wonder they changed to a scheme with more contrast later the 7008 is so weak. I may add a little 7009 to the 7008 because the dust coat will wipe out the 7008 as it is now. Tony lee

Welcome to the crazy world of German two-tone camo schemes Tony! Those Tropen schemes are always a challenge for the eyes. Looking good!

Beautiful, simply beautiful.
It's a shame that the more accurate the colors, the more we lose visual impact. Now is when "artistic license" comes into play.

Tamiya Dark Yellow and Desert Yellow with LifeColor RAL 7008. If you see Tiger #131 it's the same color as the LifeColor. For the time period the colors are correct. Tony lee
