Well, I’ll be starting a new build and article shortly. It will be this model of the Kawasaki KZ1300 B Touring motorcycle. This is a 6 cylinder beast so it should be quite an interesting build. I’ll be posting as the build goes along and will add in some tips, problems, and other issues that may crop up. I’ll also be lighting this one as well.
The kit has arrived. As is the usual case I wasted little time opening it up. Always doing a visual inventory of the bags before opening them to see if any loose pats could be located. Then opening them one by one over the lid of the box in case anything fell off the sprues. Quality, even though it's an older Tamiya, still holds true to their quality even when this one was released. I am not going to bore folks here with the photos of the sprues. We all know what they look like.
Let's just jump in to it.....
Here we have a few photos of the frame. As you can see this went together with minimal effort. I found no fitting issues whatsoever. The level of detail is amazing as there were approximately 52 parts, both small and large, that comprise just the frame. You can also see part of the wiring that I have added for the lights that will, eventually, be incorporated into this model.
This is the lower crankcase after it's initial installation into the frame. Once again, little, if any, fitting issues other than the extreme close fit as it IS a motorcycle.
STAY TUNED....MORE TO COME!!!!!
