With the Pete complete, I decided to take on another biplane but, from an earlier era. I have had this in the stash since it was release a while ago. It was high time to tackle a biplane with more than couple of rigging wires.

Good morning everyone. Leon You've been counted buddy. PJ2 I am hoping to get started on this today. If not today, then definitely tomorrow. As to making you look bad.....Uh dude! You're scratch building a Panzer for petes sake. My build tempo has been a bit up from my usual. Dierk Glad to have you along my good man. Marc Yup! I've got you counted. Would you prefer a booth or table!

A fair bit of progress today. Not much though as the two youngest kids are graduating from high school today. The CP floor board had some EP marks on the forward portion. This was an issues of the lesser of two engineering evils. On the other side is all the fine detail of the lower forward fuselage. Yup! I'd rather not have to repair destroyed fine detail. The rigging for the starboard CP framing was done with EZ Line fine. This was done in three strands and took about 15-20 minutes of work. Here is the inside aspect of the panel Here is the "outside" aspect of the starboard panel. You can see where I started two of the three strands in the right hand corners. The third is in the lower left corner. The line is held in place with CA that was hit with a drop of accelerator.

Marc Yup! I've got you counted. Would you prefer a booth or table! Table away from the kitchen but near the bar. Ah the hell with it... I'll sit at the bar.

Good morning everyone. Leon Thank you kindly buddy. Joelsmith Thank you. Hopefully I can start slinging some paint today. That is the one thing about WnW kits...one had better like painting. Especially with the CP. Marc Pull up a sit. It's where I'd prefer.

A lot of painting was done today. I really mean a lot of painting. This resulted in the CP being pretty much done. All colors are Vallejo with the caveat being the brass and copper being of AK Interactive True Wax colors. These are thinned with a wee bit of hit mineral spirits. Two coats will give you a fantastic metallic finish. The drum magazines have a wonderful detail on the back side....they moulded the cartridges. I painted them brass just far an exercise. This will show when I mount the rear guns. Both sides are on the CP now. There are just a couple pieces of rigging and a rear canvas panel to be mounted, then the CP will be complete. After painting, shading, and high lighting the leather seats, I gave them a couple light washings of purple to richen the color.

Good evening y'all. Bill Thank you kindly my good man. It's good to hear from you. Steve Thank you for the compliments my good man. Well, I got the fuselage joined and the CP installed. The seat belts are the kit PE offerings. Quite nice really. The gunners top deck installed. The tail skid is made up of three separate pieces. The engineering of this kit is amazing. The engine bearers are such a fine snug fit that the only glue really needed was for the bottom mount of the bearers. The first portion of the bearers inserted through the firewall, were painted black. These are visible in the pilots office. The firewall has moulded indents for where the bearer rigging anchors at.

The Wingnut kits have a pretty solid reputation for fit/engineering, looks like this one's no exception. Got to love the detail in that 'office', especially that wicker seat. Reminds you of just how simple/primitive some of these early machines really were.

Thank you very much Leon. Not much progress otherwise due to three kids graduations (two high school and one university) and the eldest daughter getting married. It's been a busy three and a half weeks. If anyone wants to see previous pics of this build just let me know, and I'll put them up. Otherwise I'm just starting fresh with Flickr. PB is on my s*** list.
