Good morning everyone.

TRM, Thank you very much my good man for the compliment. I drilled out the last four holes for the elevator trim lines.

I may have enough time to finish the rigging today. I've a house to get ready for family tomorrow.

LOL...sounds like we are in the same boat! I have been vacuuming and cleaning bathrooms all afternoon! Best of luck getting the last of the rigging in place!

Good evening T. I hope your day was a wonderful one. It was here. After everyone dispersed, I found my way out to the bench. Once there I got started on some weathering.

This wasn't todays work, but I got the elevator trim lines done yesterday.


The wheel covers received some weathering today. I shot some Vallejo Dark Brown wash through the AB. The tire sidewalls have yet to get more dirty.


I airbrushed the wheel spray onto the underside of the wings and the elevators. After which, I gave the entire aircraft a wash with MIG oil. This muted some of the overly bright roundels and tied the colors together.


A close up of the wheel spray. This will be built up more later.

Dave, once again VERY BERRY COOL. The patience you have to do that rigging is mind blowing.... I hope you managed to get some Turkey and pie in....I mean after all it was Thanksgiving day  LOL LOL

Good evening everyone. Thank you one and all for your compliments and support during this build. I hope you have enjoyed the updates.

I am going to call the Bristol completed. The weathering touches I wanted to get done are done. Sidewalls on the tires are muddied. A bit of spatter on the underside from wheel spray and prop wash. A bit more grunge on the engine. I was going for a used, lived in look if you will. Not beat to crap at the end of its service life.

I present the completed Bristol in honor of my grandfather, Kensey. Without whom I might not have developed the passion for aircraft that I have. Especially early aircraft. Doubly so with the Bristol. Thank you Grandpa.
