Thanks gents The deck did not work out due to height issues but the rack is now in primer 003 by Mark Hartig, on Flickr I've got a few days in a row off and should have sufficient time to finish this. I started it in August and it's been occupying the bench for too long Regards, Mark

Thanks gents
UK Pontiac the mesh is something I've had laying around for quite some time; I really don't remember for sure where it came from. As you see I do quite a bit of 1/35th armor so the chances of one of these being the source is good. Try your local hardware store(s) for some fine mesh window screen perhaps one of them will have something that'll work
Regards, Mark

I did not dare stop working on it, if I had archeologists would have probably discovered it still unfinished about a thousand years from now. Well, I always wanted to tangle with one of these and now I have. Back to tanks where I belong Regards, Mark

No Mark, I think you belong in the land of shiny finishes! You did a terrific job on this and I especially like what you did with that fuel tank and engine. I know firsthand how difficult it is to fill all those seams and work it into a flawless finish. I see much effort those that don't car model do not.

Thanks gents glad you like it
Wes there's hope; I may find additional room and get cocky again who knows. I'd have to find a source for tires and rims as such things are beyond my scratching capability but right now the idea is rather appalling
Regards, Mark

Absolutely awesome, it’s almost a shame to grunge up that Cat engine . I built one years ago and really enjoyed the build and end result.
So ah…. Where ya going to park this thing when your done ? If I remember correctly, it’s about 2 feet long….
If you’re single, no worries then

Great JOB Mark!! The engine weathering is top notch. The finish on the cab is awesome. Black is one of the hardest colors to get a good finish with. Yours looks GREAT!!

Lovely so far. I used to own 3 W900's a 76 and 2 79's, a 3 axle with a Cat 3406A, a 3 axle with a Big Cam 400 Cummins, and a 2 axle with a Big Cam 290. Well made trucks one and all.

Magnificent, I built one a long time ago for a friend. He said he liked it however when he moved back to Spokane from Seattle he placed it unprotected in the back window deck...in SUMMER. Well the truck turned into a blob and I haven't had the guts to try and find another. Love that big truck though, very cool build.
