And so, it begins. Now that my eyes have uncrossed after the wee Wildcats, A D.VII. Seems like such a big Fokker now. It's Dual Combo but not yest decided if I'm gonna do 1 or both at once. It's time for the ritualistic 1st photos of box art and content. And that true photographic “snapshot of time” … the neat bench. I have to say I do love the way Eduard loads the s*** in some of their boxings.

Today’s lesson. Use the word “disproportionate” in a sentence. I started with a perfectly clean bench, had 2 sessions, and progress is disproportionate to the mess. Oh yeah… BTW… When you do a pair of 144th fighter with 2.7” wingspans and ya feel the need to do something big with substantial sized pats… 1/48 WWI bipes AIN’T the way to go. I love that one. Way better with the thick accent Fokkers ey? NICE Here's a suitable clip - ended Stan Boardman's TV career

Excellent update! Eyes sore a bit? LOL Nice touch with the bolt heads on the block! Did you find nuts that small or punch them yourself? I am going blind thinking about it! LOL

Camo inside the cockpit?!?!? It caught my attention... figured back then the material was thin so paint bleed through or something like that?
Great work as usual!

Getting your hands right in this. The bench is making progress as well...lol. It so reminds me of my workbench. We all must do exactly the same thing: Upon finishing a previous project we re-organize to prepare for the next endeavor. Funny how the work area becomes a little smaller than the finished project fairly quickly. If you are like me, and it looks like you are, you fail to return things to their proper place immediately, placing them on your bench as you grab for the next tool in the name of efficiency.

OK, silly question from a guy who hasn't built a Fokker in 45 years........... Why the camo on the insides? At least that's what it looks like PJ2

PJ, depending if the lines/cotton was primed or not it is possible for the camouflage dope to bleed through the cloth outer skin.

Thanks for the comments guys. And correctamundo on the pit walls. Not much twix pilot/bullets. More work on the little. Fokker. Kit control horns would never have been able to be glued with any sort of strength so I made new one by flatting some 0.4mm aluminum tubing and drilling a tiny hole for the cable. The PE prop boss, the size of a micro dot in a 007 movie, was drilled to accept some tine machined bolts from the former Scale Hardware. Wood grain drawn in with a Prism artist pencil

Thanks my friend. I have no idea thought process behind that camouflage but I’m guessing there were some serious drugs involved.

Sounds like this Fokker was a real focker to build - you're making it look very good in the pics though.

Still looks sharp despite the problems/issues! As for the lozenge-style of camouflage, the concept was not unlike the dazzle-camo used on ships, and definitely drew its influences from cubism and pointillism in the art world. It wasn't meant to make it 'disappear' so much as make it very hard to judge speed, direction, etc. for spotting/deflection shooting. That and we have to remember these aircraft were substantially slower than what we tend to think of and when looked at from above or at an angle, the pattern would be very effective at 'disrupting' the outlines.
