Saw this little guy making himself at home in my yard for the 2nd straight day, really looking at home. There was a whole family in the woods for most of the summer, but this was the closest one got.I only got one shot before he ran.

A good friend of mine has a family of desert foxes that lives in an empty lot behind his house...they periodically can be heard up on his roof and they leave behind 'evidence' in his yard as well ranging from droppings all the way up to half-eaten dove carcasses! At first he thought it was just cats in the neighborhood until he actually spotted one of the acrobatic little guys.

At first he thought it was just cats in the neighborhood until he actually spotted one of the acrobatic little guys. I live in "Old Town" Greenwood, Indiana. A heavy residential neighborhood. About one third of a mile from a golf course and a quarter mile from the rail road tracks. There's a small wooded area about a city block west of me. I've had a deer or two out in my back yard, and a couple coyotes back there. One was a legitimate 35 pounder and maybe close to forty. Went upstairs to get the .222, but he was gone when I came back down stairs. There's a nesting den of red foxes we see every now and then. They're unusual as these foxes actually bark like a dog! A couple weeks back I had a young fox standing in my driveway when I came home late one night. There's a den of grey foxes (not common around here) out on the rail road property, and I see them a couple times a year. Looks like a big tom cat with big ears and long hair. gary

SWEET!!! I don't see them that often here but plenty of coyotes. Hell, I'd rather to have more fox than coyotes because there have been a lot of reports that coyotes have taken pet cats and small dogs this year.
