Thank you PJ! I'm really happy with the results. If i do this again i won't put a clear coat on first as the white paint wanted to bead up.

Leon, instead of a clearcoat, you might try just hairspray. The last "whitewash" I did I used a old flat brush and applied it by hand.

Well that's a good way to waste time late at night when you can't sleep. Love the WW on her. StuG's always look great with a nice worn white wash.

First of all, I've always been a fan of white wash camo. Think it started with a Panzer IVg or IVj I saw at the nationals a very long time ago. The one thing I noticed was the painstaking paint job over a camo paint job. Had that hurriedly field applied look to it, plus it looked like cheap white wash! There was (or were) even washed out lines it from melted snow and spilt fuel. White wash typically is very thin, and seems to go on very streakedly (is that a word). That Panzer IV had it all in spades. I've played around with everything from seriously diluted flat white paint to shoe polish, and have yet to get what I'm after. I think I saw a wash in the Vallejo rack, and that may be my answer. After that I needy 1/35th scale "jonnie mops"! I thought your application of the white wash came out well. Perhaps some fuel and oil spills with some streaks from melted snow. I don't know, as it's of course your call. Anyway the results look fine to me. gary

Incredible and beyond words! It's not only about ignorance, it's about stupidity born out of greed. They should be punished, if not for the damage done, then for the looting of dead corpses. This find was a time capsule and a source of unspeakable historical value that is now destroyed forever. At least the few pictures will survive, thanks for sharing.

Morning fellas! time to call this build finished.I wanted to do some weathering but the inevitable happened.Being that the white wash and white camo paint are water based when i went to put on the clear coat it started to fade away. Needless to say i had to redo it again.I may eventually put this on a base.Hope you like the final results.I did manage to get some rust streaking on. I especially like how you have the snow caked in the road wheels. A very nice touch indeed.
