Dang Joe, I would've been peeved too. I made sure the stick jockeys knew "they may fly em, but I fix em", so go easy on my bird, "Sir". Fine pics from the good ol dayz.

Dang Joe, I would've been peeved too. I made sure the stick jockeys knew "they may fly em, but I fix em", so go easy on my bird, "Sir". Fine pics from the good ol dayz. LOL!! Yeah they gave me a real POS (tail # 70-17586) as a replacement. At the time it was a worn out, need to put out to pasture POS. Just a few years ago I was visiting Ft. Hood and saw it as a museum piece displayed out of what was then the original Darnell Community Hospital. It had been freshly painted up as a Medivac Helicopter but once you know a tail number it is what it is.
Here is a photo of that on display at the old hospital location.

Regardless of the trouble you had with this kit you sure seemed to have claimed a “victory “ in my book. Beautiful turn out bud!!!

Thanks a lot for taking the time to check her out and for the comments. I haven't built a helo in 40 years and was nice to do this Huey, which is one of my faves. Besides some fit and instruction issues I did have fun painting this one. I have the 1/35 Dragon UH-1 that I want to build once I get done with all the commission models and my M113.

Well done. It is said that when the last Blackhawk bites the dust a Huey will be there to take its crew home.
