Nice model Dierk, like the details you're adding. Those are nice wheels but who would notice the bolt plates on the back? Hehe just kidding ya......
Never seen a cover like that over the mantlet, but I guess 112 had their weirdness as well. From what I remember, some rear plates were slightly different. For some factories those slight differences were sort of a badge of honor to create unique looking vehicles, like the Stalingrad factory turrets etc.
Looking good! Paul

Cheers Paul, I know what you mean about the wheels - but I'm not going to complain about too much detail The various subtle and not so subtle differences between the various factory's versions are a minefield...every time I think I know something, something else pops up..

Well, the Academy fuel tanks are not worth the effort. So I've pinched some from my AFV Club shelf-queen: Oil tanks next.

Well played Dierk! You almost want to make a mold of the clean tanks for casting future stores! LOL Looking forward to the next steps!

Finally got round to mating top and bottom hulls - the fit is less than perfect, and no matter what I did I ended up with two gaps at the back that needed filling. Fit of the glacis to the lower hull wasn't great either, hence the use of the kit front and rear mudguards - I was going to repace them with some metal sheet...you win some, you lose some... Not far to go now, but plenty of running about to do today, so next update as and when
