F-15 Egg Plane w/ Retro wings modifications. Hey everyone, I hope all is well. I finally got back into the mood to model and started with a F-15 Hasegawa Egg F-15 with Retro Wings Engine and Cockpit kits. Its a simple model, but the retro wings parts come with very vague directions so bare with me.. The cuts in the cockpit are where im going to hollow it out so I can fit the retro wings cockpit. its really detailed considering this is a simple kit.. see below. Heres the cockpit with the seat from retrowings (they're separate pieces), the back part is the air brake compartment, I will be cutting the top to open the air brake. Heres the instrument panel Heres the Retro Wings Engine The small parts to add... After Small parts. I know some of them aren't perfectly straight. I may or may not have had a few drinks when I decided to do this... Thats it thus far.... Will post more soon. Going to make it look like its flying by inserting a bent brass rod in a base and using cotton for smoke. should be fun. Glad to be back.

Now I've seen it all! Who'd have thunk you can get resin AM stuff for an egg plane? You're doing a great job!

Eggplane aftermarket? For real? I had NO idea. me neither, I got a destroyed tie fighter wing from them and decided to browse the site and saw the AM. Ordered the AM and the kits immediately.

Was wondering if I could get some assistance...
The instructions reference Aqueos Hobby color, and Mr. Color paints. I didn't want to buy new paints just for this small model but I don't seem to have any Tamiya that are close. Which brand should I get or are they both comparable? Im used to working with Tamiya.

Here's a conversion chart for Mr. Color to Tamiya - if you have to buy paint, might as well stick with the brand you're familiar with.
