Afternoon fellas! Got the body painted last night with Tamiya chrome yellow.I'm a little disappointed in the color. Hard to tell from the pics but the color is darker than the cap color.Hopefully when i get the wood grain decals on it will look better. Yellow is always one of those 'fun' colors to work with...what color, if any, did you have underneath it? Sometimes that can influence how the applied shade looks. Cap colors are always just guides too...you can have slight variations in batches while those cap lids are mass produced with the same dyed plastic!

Bill, i have a white primer coat under the yellow! I really need to start using my airbrush on these.That way i can see the color first. Besides i want to get away from using rattle cans.

Looking good. Yes, much harder to control color depth with a can, and caps as mentioned are not always right on the money.
