I dropped by Hobby Lobby with a 40% off coupon in my hand. Looked at their air brushes, and walked out with an Iwata pistol grip brush for $107!! They had the Eclipse for $149 (before the coupon), but already have one. Had a Neo pistol grip in the bag with a new hose, but somebody wanted it more than me! So I got to replace it. Went back a couple days later with a new coupon and bought the hose.
While buying the hose, I went down the jewelry aisle looking for some stuff to use with my fly fishing addiction. Noticed they had four or five different cutters that would be great for cutting spru, yet all were under $12 a pair. Then I looked to the left and saw several pairs of tweezers. Just like the ones I bought last year for almost $20 a set (even the same box but a different label). They were under ten dollars a set! Yet the same set in the modeling aisle was almost $20 like the LHS!!
I might buy a pair of the cutters to see how they work. I need a couple pairs, plus a seriously heavy duty pair for tying flies. I did finally reach into my pockets and bought two new pairs of Anvil scissors at the fly shop (That brand is the absolute best). This means that the two pairs I'm replacing will low down to my modeling tools box.

Can't go wrong with some good tools Gary, sounds like you scored big on this trip. the one I messed around and lost was the gravity feed TGR air brush, ump, and hose for $347. Then to top it off, I could have used six coupons worth five dollars each. That same outfit will set you back $448 right now! gary

For those interested. I bought a MASTER pistol grip gravity feed airbrush set with fan and round tips, hose, and three different size cups for about $55.00 a couple of years ago at TCP Global website. It sprays beautifully and I use it exclusively for car painting and large areas.

Ma, I am a HUGE fan of the craft stores, and it truly is a hidden jewel! Michael's Craft Store has 40% off coupons every week, and sometimes 50%; and at Thankgiving, the Valhalla of 60%! The one and only time I would even THINK of going out the day after a major holiday is to use one of these puppies.
I have noted however, that Hobby Lobby has swankier swag. For instance, I bought my first airbrush at Michael's....a Badger single action, and hose. There were no IWATA's there! Maybe that's changed, but I doubt it. Problem was, I didn't get a Hobby Lobby until a couple years ago around here. I did see one many years ago in Wisconsin, visiting my sister. I was like, "HOLY CATS!". All I can say is first, I'm gad we finally got one here, and two, your nuts if you don't check these places out!
Oh by the way...I'm a board and miniature wargamer, and I get tons of storage solutions there!
