Received 3 photos from a person who is engaged in casting. Hopefully the hardest part of the job is over. Now i'm going to take up the weapon... Can't see it here at work but when I get home I'll definitely be checking this out.

This is a beautiful build, thanks for updating the thread.
Are you still 3D printing? Interested to hear about your experiences with printing model parts.

I finished my version of this model. Differences only on the roof of the tower. Not soon to paint, there is time to think about the presence of a muzzle brake. And there's Serzh! GREAT to have you back buddy!! I love the way you're putting this one together and am very much looking forward to the painting process.

New project "What if". The documents mention that it was proposed to equip the SG-122 turret with lighter weapons. Zis-3 (2). It seemed boring to me, since weapon armor is not much different I took as a basis, a test version of the su-76 with 85 mm weapons. >>> warspot.ru/12623-lyogkie-sau-s-bolshimi-pushkami Did not want to printed - i made it from plastic. Wheel as the basis of the round part Rag roof option

If this isn't attention to detail then I don't know what is. Truly remarkable work going on in this thread Serzh!! How are you doing those welds?

How are you doing those welds? Hi! I don't quite understand the question, but I'll try to answer. It is too early to saturate this model with welding. But not very much at all ((( Vision becomes worse, during the formation of the seam, I tint the relief with liquid paint (it is then easily washed off).

It will be pretty cool if somebody can build that. I am not that good to go that far this moment!

The casemate portion looks pretty simple to build, being so boxlike. As long as the height measurements are known. The tricky part is the gun mantlet area with all of the curves and angles.
