T'anks y'all. Bill, I thought the suitcase was kind of symbolic of the whole thing, had to do it.

I wonder where the crew picked up the suitcase? I remember a photo of a sign that said "Lootin Verbootin" ;<)

I wonder where the crew picked up the suitcase? I remember a photo of a sign that said "Lootin Verbootin" ;<) It fell off the back of the truck, yeah, yeah, that's it..... So, I took some time and did some work to the idlers and drive sprockets, added the missing lightening holes to the inner halves of both, and turing down the outer idler rims to something closer to scale thickness. IMG_3663 by Russel Baer, on Flickr And since I couldn't find any dedicated TD decal sheets, let alone Hellcat and I did NOT want to use the kit decals, I cobbled up something to make another tank in the same unit as the one in the book".... IMG_3664 by Russel Baer, on Flickr IMG_3665 by Russel Baer, on Flickr I took a little artistic license on the back by adding the two non-regulation stars in circles, but it was common on Hellcats to over-mark them, the thought being it didn't look like a Sherman, therefore it must be German.

T'anks y'all. Currently the wheels are on, weathering mostly done and tracks are almost ready. Stowage is pretty much integrated now, I think I like it. IMG_3860 by Russel Baer, on Flickr IMG_3859 by Russel Baer, on Flickr I was a little rough with the tracks when I assembled them way back when, so I'm replacing a few links and straightening guide horns, almost ready.

All the details and weathering are making this thing a top notch build so far. I like the dirty / dusty look that it has.

Thanks Leon. I got to looking at pics of the MG mount and realized it's a skate mount, and that Academy "skated" on it (sorry) but it's not too late to at least make it look a little better. I'll have to be careful, since the turret is essentially done, but I think (read: hope) I can make it look more like what it's supposed to be fairly easily.

I'm calling this one done, in the bag, finito. Unless of course I see something I forgot..... Now, what to do next. I'm leaning towards something easier than this one, or maybe another IDF Magach. I've still got a cubic yard of old M60 kits, and even a couple new ones. Hmmm......

Yes sir....you did forget something. You're supposed to put a photo of the finished model.....NOT 1:1 scale reference photos. lol.
Great job and enjoyed following the process.

I thought you said a Pershing was next? Hmmm, I may have. I have a couple Tamiiya kits stashed, and some HobbyBoss parts. Something about that book, "Spearhead".

Tasty build! That stowage looks really good.
Only note - that bucket could probably use a wash...stands out a bit versus the rest of the piece.
