As is true to form for me, I have been sporadic in my building interests (mostly due to lack of socializing with other modelers) but I built this 5 months ago (I got it cheap open box so there was none of the windscreens, windows etc): I also started on my Industria Mechanika Waldo last month. I have to take a lil break as I am being forced to move in April so I am currently packing. I never really took inventory of how much modeling stuff I acquired over the years but it is quite a bit for someone who doesn't do it full time (or even part-time, technically lol). I also got a resin printer so I am itching to make parts to mod my builds.

That's a fantastic finish on that car and I love the color!! Decaling was done nicely as well. Before 2020 I hadn't built a race car yet so it was fun to do something that didn't belong on the streets. I'll be looking more into that Industria Mechanika Waldo subject you've got going on there as I've never seen that before. I hear you on moving. Jeez!! My wife and I have moved A LOT over the course of our marraige. Some of it was job relocation and the others were due to military reasons. I know that we've moved around 10 times total. My grandfather used to have a saying. "Five moves is equal to a burnout!" He was RIGHT!!! We've given more stuff away, thrown stuff away, lost stuff and have broken enough things to equal TWO burnouts.

We've given more stuff away, thrown stuff away, lost stuff and have broken enough things to equal TWO burnouts. Thanks Joe! This was the first car paint job that I've tried that came out nice. Clean stuff is rather difficult. I like how weathering can hide the mistakes, personally. There are some bubbled decals, I learned as I went. I haven't done anything with this many decals before. I found out that if you don't go light enough on the Tamiya spray clear... it will certainly bubble your decals. Yeah, I am not looking forward to moving as the place I am renting is in a great place near work but there's not much I can do. Going to hang with the parents for a bit until I can see what my next move is best. Rent around here is 2k+ and it's not a good time to rush into a mortgage. I am thankful I have the opportunity to move in with them for a bit, even if it's inconvenient. It will be for the better. I look forward to owning a property in the future, instead of throwing my money away.

The solution to the bubbling? Next time you get ready to do a gloss coat, get ahold of some Testors Wet Look Gloss Coat, decant it and shoot it through an airbrush. You'll be amazed at the results.
Yeesh!!! 2K for rent??!!! Yowzaaaa!! Yep.....you're better off stashing some money for the time being.

2k for rent? That's ridiculous. Way more than my mortgage has ever been. Yikes.
WALDO! I can't wait to crack into my Ian McQue trifecta - Waldo, Remora, and Wasps. 😁

When I found out that IMech was going to stop producing physical kits, I did everything I could to hoover up one of all of them. I didn't manage to get them all, but close! I could probably still find the missing ones on Ebay...if I wanted to sell of some organs. Expennnnnnsive!

That's a really fine build, regardless of the missing windshield.

I am disappointed I didn't buy their Dragonfly and Cosmonaut. Michael sold a TON of those Cosmonaut kits. He could have sold a lot more!
