Thank you Mustang Joe for the invitation to join here. When looking in prior to signing up I saw so many recognizable names from so many other boards I also frequent. I just hope that I don't bore everyone with the same old posts over and over again! LOL! Okay, for those who recognize me, you already know me pretty well. For the rest, here's my introduction.
My name is Mark, and I go by Duke Maddog on all my boards. I have been building models since I was 6 years old, with a slight two-year break in my early twenties. The models I like to build are all over the place. Still I maintain a consistency in scale for everything that I can. All my aircraft, armor, motor torpedo type boats, Star Wars and real space models are in 1/72 scale exclusively. In a past Forums I used to frequent, I was labeled Maddog Manufacturing due to the prolific finish rate of my models. The rough mean average for completed models per year for me is between 45 and 55 models each year for me. I have kept almost all my models I ever built, except for commission works and so I have amassed quite a large collection. For those interested, as of today I have completed the following number of models: Aircraft and helicopters, all but two are in 1/72 scale=468 -Armor and Vehicles, all but two are in 1/72 scale=867 Ships and boats= 292 Automobiles, yes, they are in 1/24, 1/25t or larger scale=8 Real Space and Sci-Fi, all (save one) in 1/72 scale=5 Buildings and Bunkers, all HO scale or 1/72 scale=15 Miscellaneous models like figures or other unique models-=2 Grand Total=1657 completed models.
These do not include the 17 models I completed for others as gifts or commissions. No, I do not have a huge house; I have one bedroom (10x11) of a two-bedroom condo holding all of those models. It is incredibly crowded in there. And yes, I do sleep; I get all eight hours a night; after all I use power tools on my handyman jobs and have so far kept all my fingers and toes. The armor collection some of you may have seen in person if you are at Phoenix IPMS Nationals in 2018, Chattanooga Nationals in 2019 and the Las Vegas Nationals in 2022. I brought the whole collection to each of the for their display tables: 700 in Phoenix, 750 in Chattanooga, and 820 in Las Vegas.
For those who are incredulous at my outrageous claims, I have photographic proof! My armor collection on display at a local St. Crispin's Irregulars Hobby Hall. They are all sitting on eight-foot-long tables, except for the front table: There were 807 at that time in February 2021. Here are all 820 models on the Las Vegas tables taken from both ends: For those interested, the sign at the end of the table shows this: I should have written that straighter. Since I have no room, these are all kept in these tubs and box. The wooden box was a gift from a friend to hold Dora; my friend Carlos calls it my "Dora baby coffin"! The rest of my other semi-notable completed models are here: 1/72 scale An-124 Condor: Yes, that is a 1/72 scale T-80 tank sitting next to it to show size.
More of my 1/72 scale aircraft, a B-377 airliner: Going the other way history-wise, my WWI British SE-5A in 1/72 scale: One of my helicopters in 1/72 scale: My 1/72 scale Saturn V Rocket: 1/72 scale ancient Airfix RAF Rescue Launch: Some more of my (mostly) 1/700 scale navy: Finally, some of my Star Wars, Off-scale and miscellaneous models: Star Wars Imperial Star Destroyer that is something like 1/45000 scale: One of my automobiles, the 1/24 scale Monkeemobile: A 1/48 scale Stearman I did as a review on another Forums: A 1/35th scale M-48 Patton I did for the SoCal AMPS Patton Group Build. This is one of my top three favorite tanks and that's why I participated in that particular project: A 1/1 scale LifeLike Models Colt .45 Peacemaker: Finally a 1/8 scale Legend of Sleepy Hollow: Just for fun, here is one of my commission builds: Now that this is completed, enjoy the pictures and information. Soon I'll be opening a branch of Maddog Manufacturing here in your neighborhood. I just need to know where I can break ground. Thank you all for checking this out.

Thank you Rook! I do enjoy doing many different subjects as they always help keep things fresh when I go back to previous projects.
Thank you Mustang Joe! Yeah, I figured I should give everyone a good intro to see what they're getting into! LOL!

Hey There Mark. Welcome to MSC. It is such a pleasure to be able to interact with you once again on a forum platform. You are a wonderful addition here. I just recently joined myself and I am finding MSC to be a very enjoyable place be and share. Always a great wonder to have someone who shares a love for 1/72 scale. I had the pleasure of seeing your exhibit at the Vegas Nats. All I can say is that I was filled utter awe. When I walked in that room my jaw literally dropped and my eyes bugged out. What a magnificent display of modeling.

Wow! Thank you for all the incredible replies! These are the best I've seen to my intro thread in any of the Forums I've frequented!
Silverado Joe, stay tuned, my Grand Opening should happen quite soon.
Thank you Leon! It's still growing....
Thank you Brian! I'm glad to hear I'll fit in. I look forward to seeing your Dora started. Mine took me a year and nine months to finish; it was the first kit to scare the crap outta me the whole time I was building it. Feel free to hound me with questions once you start, I think I still have my work in progress pics to help out.
Thank you Tobi! Glad to see you here too.
Thank you Joe! It's great to be able to interact with you too. Vegas was a fun Nats! I'm glad you got to see my armor collection in Vegas. I have a sinking feeling ti's the last time I'll ever be able to bring it out and set it up. Unless I find a place that will let me set it up and keep it up or a week or more; there's no point since it takes so long to set everything up. In Vegas, it took me over six and a half hours!
Thank you Steve! I don't know if you ever got to see my collection in any of the other boards we share, so I'm thrilled you got to see it here.

There's a joke in here somewhere in regards to riding in on a 406 Silverado...something about being rode hard and put up wet. Maybe someone else can figure it out.

And then there is Mark… 😉 The man who brought me back into the IPMS fold many years ago. Never will you meet a more enthusiastic modeler. I know that I’m too junior on this site to welcome you onboard, but damn good to see you here my old friend!
