How would you rate this kit as compared to a Dragon kit or Tamiya kit? I really want their Mobelwagen but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Looks good Tony! I’m curious to see how the rail car will turn out, and then how you’ll use them together. It's a bear so far, taking it slow, just pan to use it as a base, maybe a couple of crew members standing or sitting on the bed,not planning a dio. Presume it comes with a section of track but is there any form of base to put the track on?

I like the Dragon 4's better,a little more detailed, and I like Dragon plastic. Instructions and assembly about the same. Of course,Tamiya a little less detailed but more buildable. For me a solid B on this kit. I also have their Stug III with interior

Yes comes with two sections of track. Thanks. The display on the railcar is sort of what put's it above some of the other kit's.

How would you rate this kit as compared to a Dragon kit or Tamiya kit? I really want their Mobelwagen but haven't pulled the trigger yet. David Coyne did a comprehensive Border Mobelwagen SBS build on the Track-link forum and I recollect he didn't rate it as high as he was hoping. Check his build out. www.track-link.com/blogs/51061As for the Border Ausf J IV, I did a side by side comparison with what was considered the best Dragon IV Ausf J kit and although the Border kit excels in places it wasn't enough to push the Dragon kit off the top spot for me. See smallislandscalemodels.blogspot.com/2022/02/?m=0 for details Los

Tony, that looks a lot like what came with the Takom Jagdpanther w/flatcar combo kit.

Looks like the ties are joined together by twos, and they are all held together by the rails.

Looks like they would get the job done nicely. A rail car with no rails would look silly.

Finally got the railcar assembled,I'm going to put this aside so I can start on my Panther. Only thing left is the painting and the track base.

I bet that railcar is a great canvas for some serious weathering.

What do you guys think of this small scene,I had these three figures leftover from a Dragon Actung Jabo set, thought they could add a little interest to the scene.

This is simply beautiful Tony. That camo and weathering work looks fantastic and these figures are really gonna set that beast off. I'm so looking forward to what you're going to do next with this beauty.

YES! I always like it when figures are included in the builds. I really love the camo work on the Panzer IV! And I like your choices of the figures to go with it too.

Excellent work on the rail car. The figures are going to be an excellent enhancement. All together this is one awesome dio you have going together. Really top notch work all around Tony.
