Joe said there would be donuts. Back in the hobby after a 30 hiatus. I can't believe how much things have changed, or perhaps more accurately, how much information is readily available thanks to the Internet! Back then all I knew was snap the parts off the plastic things and glue them with tube glue. Credit my spousal unit for getting me back into it. She figured my son and I needed something to keep us occupied during Covid. He has since lost interest but I keep slogging on trying one or two new techniques each time. Still making plenty of mistakes but getting better as I go. Looking forward to spending some leisure time here. Thanks for having me.

Welcome to the donut shop. Problem is, the unfortunate sole who gets stuck in the mud and requires a tow is the one who buys donuts. Well, that was how it worked at my old office.
Anyway, "sniff some paint and glue them fingers together" and have fun, cause this ain't no job!
Cheers, Ski.

Joe was talking about doing donuts in the parking lot, not the type you can eat. Welcome back to the hobby! This is a great place to talk about it with people who know what they are doing!

Back in the hobby after a 30 hiatus. I can't believe how much things have changed, or perhaps more accurately, how much information is readily available thanks to the Internet! Back then all I knew was snap the parts off the plastic things and glue them with tube glue. That described me to a tee, back about a decade and a half ago, after a couple decades away… I was amazed at not only how far things had progressed in kits, but more so in building and painting skills! It took me a bit of trial and errors to get beyond the “slap’em together” methodology, but you've the right idea… one model at a time, with new techniques added! Looking forward to getting to know you, and feel free to reach out anytime with questions, or just say Hey!

Welcome back to the hobby. I love it more now than I ever did as a kid.
