Righteous Hind Perry. That should make for quite the epic build. That should definitely make a dent in your paint stash.

Awesome scores guys! Recently I received some late birthday money, so I set out to get a few things I'd been putting off. First was these two kits I picked up on sale at Hobbylink Japan: 1/72 scale Scimitar Mk.2: ...and this 1/72 scale Ford Model A car: And since my compressor went on the fritz and I was afraid the repair cost was going to be high; I bought something I wanted for awhile: a more powerful, longer lasting portable airbrush from Spraygunner: I got that on sale, and they even threw in an extra airbrush cleaning kit! Then at Hobby Day Monday this past couple days, a friend of mine who realized he was not going to be building and painting models anymore brought in all this for me. All of this was given to me for FREE!! First is this old school Dremel and old school soldering iron: Next was something I had been wanting for quite some time now: I finally have a decent spray booth: Oh, did I mention it was collapsible and portable? That was the booth in the closed, portable condition, here it is all opened up: Brand spanking new, never been used. Speaking of never been used, He also gave me a big box containing in part, these three airbrushes. One is a single action external mix suction feed brush like a Paasche. It has a .8 needle in it. The next one is a double action, gravity feed with a .3 needle in it, followed by another double action, gravity feed brush with a .2 needle in it! All are still in the original boxes! This also included an extra air hose and an instruction booklet on how to airbrush. Yes I will be keeping that and reviewing it occasionally. Each airbrush also includes an adapter to attach to any air hose available: The other part of that big box contained this brand new, never-been-used compressor, along with a an instruction booklet and an airbrush holder that fits on the compressor. An extra addition not in the box is the airbrush cleaning pot that he gave me, along wit a couple things not shown: a large bottle of airbrush cleaner and a smaller bottle of sewing machine oil: Wow, Maddog Manufacturing got quiet the upgrade thanks to a great friend! I can't wait to finish organizing the Hobby Room so I can break in all these fantastic new tools! God is good!!

Holy Mother of..well..mother lode! What an absolutely righteous haul Mark. First, what a wonderful gift from your friend. Fortune certainly was shining on you. That alone should up the production at Maddog Manufacturing. You did well in getting yourself the Scimitar and Model A. Very cool subjects. I hope you still have a use for the portable airbrush after receiving the loot from your friend. I've been considering getting one myself for those quick small airbrushing needs. Your latest haul has deemed you worthy.

When i heard about these coming out i was curious to see if there as good as people say, well as far as i can see so far, im amazed !
Im no expert on aircraft i`ll admit but this is something special i think...
The wing details especially are super crisp, theres photo etch, canopy stencils, and clear colour instructions that cover history and 5 different schemes ! Think Joe on here was asking if i had one yet, well its just arrived and im well pleased it has ! If anyone wants more detailed pics let me know ...

Bought this at the show a couple of weeks back. Will be built as the post war anti sub version which was in the building where the show was. Will need some alterations. And by "some" I mean several! A wonderful model! Unfortunately, I was not able to purchase this model earlier. But I have a B-25 Mitchell from this manufacturer waiting in the wings.

Today from the same flea market vendor I scored from before. I am the only person that has bought any of his kits (he has mostly old toys). $40! Yes $40
Going to just let the other kits sit there and get cheaper each week and grab one every once in a while.

Thank you ever so much Joe! I agree, my friend was beyond generous! I will still use the portable brush; that is always a big help. In fact, I used the new portable one for the first time spraying dull coat on the Sherman I just finished. The compressor and other airbrushes are for the big jobs and multiple jobs. Once I finally get me room organized again with my parts all sorted and condensed, I hope to ramp up production considerably. I do like the Scimitar and Model A; both have been started. Stay tuned for the next factory tour.
ADT, thank you. Several other people who have the same booth have also mentioned it; and have all reassured me of it's longevity. I am thrilled to know all that.
Nice scores for everyone else, looks like some great projects gonna be started on some workbenches soon!

Includes loads of transfers, and stencils for the canopy... the yellow sheet but you cant really see it !

Wow Mark! What a haul.
That zero looks impressive. I have the more recent Tamiya kit, but damn... that looks nice. I may have to get their Rufe if that's the kit its based on.
Tony - $40?!? For anything 1/350 Tamiya is a steal.

Mister.......you have SOLD me on this kit. There are many times that I have held the almighty Tamiya Zero in my hands just threatening to buy it but after seeing this one.....I'll be giving this kit a go at some point in the future. I've heard so much about this kit and now I've seen it with my own eyes right here. Superb looking kit with ALL the goodies. WOW

Martin: Way to go on scoring an Eduard Zero. They are indeed amazing looking kits out of the box.
Tony: Holy smokes! You done got yourself one screamin' deal. Tamiya 1/350 ship kits are absolutely choice and to snag one at that price is fortune exponentiated. Well done my friend.

Very nice additions Martin. Some very unique kits as well as manufacturers. And a nice wide variety too boot. The A-4M Skyhawk is a sweet kit.

No new kits added as of late but, I have recently recieved some new reference material. I just started obtaining some of David Doyles "Legends of Warfare" series of books. They are actually quite nice. Brief history on each subject but, loaded with excellent photos including detail photos. Many that I have never seen before. Of particular interest was these photos in the Helldiver book: I have never seen pics or reference to a pontooned Helldiver. This is absolutely awesome! Boy, would I love a manufacturer to pop one of these out. I'd be all over it like stink. There are kits out there of the Wildcatfish and the Devastator on floats. But this! This would be choice!

I feel a bit like Anikin Skywalker after he pushed Master Windu out of the window..." what have I done?" My transition to the Dark Side is complete. My quest for figures at the show yesterday was a bust so LAV will go crewless as I'm " in the zone" for building and want to jeep my mojo going.

Ooooh Perry. What have you gone and done now? Apparently for you any resistance to the dark side has been tossed in the wood chipper. You have turned your weakness into an epic endeavor. That is indeed very impressive and we are in for a treat watching you build that big bugger.

I've ALWAYS wished that there was a Modified Asphalt car in the modeling world and recently they've started hitting the market. I picked this one up a few days ago. Evidently this one's pretty hard to find right now "in stock" but I did manage to score it on Ebay:
