I saw the Fleming Family Racing box today. I'd love to have it but my wallet is telling me to slow down some after spending all kinds of money on my real truck and then I splurged on this kit. I may grab one in the future when my wallet feels a little heftier though. lol

I did. Heck it costs somewhere around $25 and that's without shipping. Not that it wasn't appealing at all but all of that can be done with Alclad.

I’ve done that multiple times John. They may be expensive but they take auto builds to a whoooole new level.

That is a choice looking kit you have added Joe. It will be a thrill to watch you build that bad boy up. Hmmm..seeing what you and John have gathered, do I sense an impending super modified group build maybe?

A couple of new kits have made their way into my stash: Although I recently picked up one of Eduard's A6M3 kits, what I really wanted was their A6M3 Type 32 "Hamp" with the clipped wing. As such it was only available in this dual combo kit. As such I got the one I really wanted plus the bonus Type 22 with the folding wing tips. My previous Zero kit is about to find a new home with one notorious leader of our forum here. Yes Tony, That is a Panther kit that I picked up on ebay in anticipation of possibly joining in on your Panther GB. I really like these 1/48 Tamiya kits.

I just changed the header on this thread in hopes that it is a bit clearer and more folks will share any or all of their new kits, AM, books, paint, etc.....

Outstanding score John. I have heard a lot of positive things about that kit. If you are a Spitfire fan these are some golden times what with the release of this kit and the Airfix 1/24 kit. I would be interested in an in box review.

OK enough of the Canadian flasher already! You guys... Anyway, this came in yesterday: It's an older kit from the TV anime Zeta Gundam. I never picked it up when it came out in 2012, and what with the Great Gunpla Shortage going on right now, I figured the price was right and so I pulled the trigger. I haven't bought Gunpla in a while, and Bandai is moving on with newer stuff that I don't care for. But I have a thing for the mono-eyed bad guys in Gundam, so the Marasai checks all the boxes.

Pretty sure Neal you'd rather see the flashing Canadian instead of the "Mooning Idahoan" just saying LOL. Thats a cool Gundam my friend. Saw a few in Renton show and they are impressive.

Armornut, I’ll match your Mooning Idahoan with a topless Shakey Hula Doll, plus I’ll raise you with one of those old Hawaiian warrior figures with the raising shield and “hidden spring action”! On second thoughts, let’s just forget about it and move along.
Yep Stick, to build. To build. I have to shake that post tax season blues and get on with it!

Armornut,
I’ll see if I can find you some nice pineapple print potholders* then. Oh wait - Walmart closed here in downtown. Nuts.
I have some serious “scale” weirdness coming, but the USPS seems determined to move it by the slowest method possible. I have been tracking it across the US, and it must have got onto a (slow) boat last week.
* Pineapple print potholders came from an editorial about “The 10 worst things you can send to people on the mainland”.

Hey Armornut, no offense intended! We are still MOB. Always will be my friend! My sister and I thought the pineapple potholder idea was a hoot when we read about it, so it always comes to mind when thinking about kitschy Hawaii souvenirs. The Shakey Hula Dolls really are super popular though! MOB should stand for something... Maybe "Modelhood of Brothers" or something. Much catchier than EORSFG (East Oahu Radical Splinter Faction Group), my little band of buddies that meet once a month at my house. Joe, I'll give it my best shot. I have to make the move into modern weathering techniques in all my models, including the Japanese robot stuff!
